VOUS Church

The purpose of prayer is not to get man's will done in heaven but to get God's will done on earth.

We pray in preparation for God's promise which requires our patience to gain perspective in all the amazing things God has in store for us. Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr closes his collection of talks "Talking to Jesus" with the message Prayers never die.

The art of prayer is not secret it is personal. Pastor DawnCheré takes us into week three of our collection of talks “Talking to Jesus” with the message “If You Know You Know”. If you know Jesus, you know how to pray. There isn’t a formula we must follow to talk with Jesus, it’s all about having a relationship with him.

When you pray from your heart, it turns off the brain and releases the soul.

In the second installment of our collection of talks “Talking to Jesus” Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. explores how prayer is not a mind exercise, it’s a soul exercise in the talk “Turn Off Your Brain.”

Prayer is not something you have to do, it’s something you get to do.In our new collection of talks “Talking to Jesus” Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. invites us to increase our connection with Jesus, by speaking to him about “Anything and Everything.”

You were designed for relationship with Jesus.

In this VOUS Summer Vibes talk, Pastor Judah Smith shares how we can have an intimate and organic relationship with Jesus.

Oftentimes we believe that we need to be perfect to be loved by God. But when we study the Bible, we learn that God only requires our hearts.

For the Vous Summer Vibes Collection, guest speaker and author, Lisa Harper, reveals to us the Compassion of Christ through various stories of imperfect people made perfect by Jesus Christ.

When we think of God as the all knowing, omnipresent being of the universe we mistakenly assume that we need to be perfect in his presence. But God shows his humble nature through the human form of Jesus Christ.

No matter where we are on the faith journey, Jesus is compassionate throughout. We can always count on him to be there for us. He takes our imperfections and uses them for his will.

The truth is, our unique genius isn’t just a vague concept. God created us so that genius could be our reality. What’s the evidence for this? Jesus. Jesus came to earth to show us that we too could be fully, beautifully human, not by pushing God away, but by opening our lives to his influence. In the “Summer Vibes” talk, 'The Genius of Jesus' by pastor Erwin Mcmanus, we discover the genius of Jesus is available to all of us, not so that we could avoid messing up, but so that we can become his image bearers of love for others. The most powerful genius is LOVE.

Have you ever had the feeling that everyone else around is having their prayer answered, but not you? Often in life we make up our minds around what we believe is the best for us and forget to listen to what God desires. In the “Summer Vibes” talk, “I Remember”, Pastor Tim Timberlake speaks on the importance of creating memories of God’s faithfulness in our lives everyday as reminders of how good God is and also to keep us strong on our journey and purpose.
