VOUS Church

In this VOUS Conference Throwback, Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Jr. declares that your current situation is not in charge of your future destination. God has an incredible plan for your life — It’s not all about what happens to you in life, it’s about how you respond to it that matters.

Often times we find ourselves passing through places in our life, focused simply on getting from one point to another. Yet what happens when Jesus interrupts our schedules? Pastor DawnCheré Wilkerson recounts the story of a chief tax collector, Zacchaeus, and his collision with Christ; showing us how even in the midst of just passing through there is a purpose for us to reach people.

When we encounter a collision with Jesus, it not only becomes a life-changing experience, but an eternal one. Our mission is to be the opening acts to Christ's headline in our lives. To show the world that Christ doesn't simply cover our sins, but he does something greater, he cancels them.

Ever wanted something but were too afraid to ask, so you pretended you were asking for a friend? Pastor Chad Veach of ZOE Church LA, reminds us that we don’t need to be afraid or timid when it comes to our relationship with Christ. If we have a need, all we have to do is ask!

Anyone can get swept up in the feel good vibes and the sugar rushes that love brings, but what is really the foundation of our relationships? Pastor Rich and DawnCheré Wilkerson pose this question to us all in this Sunday's message.

It’s easy to sing songs when everything in our lives are perfect: Money in the bank, car paid off, and kids acting right but what about those moments of struggles and disappointments? Pastor Rich asks us to investigate our hearts and muster the courage to find a song of worship in our hearts even in the midnight hour of our lives.

Rather than simply being close to God, we must remain connected by maintaining a relationship with Christ. Pastor Dawncheré reminds us that when we surrender our dreams, plans, relationships and everything else to God, he transforms our lives for the better.

What kind of world are your words creating around you? Our words have the power to build up or tear down— it's our choice! Pastor Rich reminds us that if we want to see change in our lives, we cannot simply renovate our minds, but we need to cleanse our mouth. It's not about getting God to agree with our words, yet it's about getting our words to agree with God.

Pastor Rich interviews Aodhan King from Hillsong Young Free talking life, worship, songwriting and more.

Preaching from Luke 7, Pastor John showed us how in a moment of desperation, the woman in this passage found herself worshiping at the feet of Jesus. Without words, she poured out her life at his feet and in doing so received a new life and forgiveness for her sin. Religion judges first, but we are to love first.
