Waffle On Podcast

Waffle on about Back to the Future

Hello and welocme to this months edition of Waffle On. Here Meds and Kell talk about one of their favourite films from 1985. It spawned two brilliant sequels and has an amazing soundtrack.

The lads recorded this episode a few months ago so apologies for lack of tv chat and up to date events.

Waffle On about Young Sherlock Holmes

A brand new episode hits your ears with this 1985 romp starring Nicholas Rowe, Alex Cox and Sophie Ward.

Regular guest host Peter Coleman joins us again and along with meds  they jump straight into the episoder after watching the film.

Does Meds still have that hatred he had when he was twelve or has he grown up a bit, lets wait and see.

As always do please share our show, we always appreciate it.

Waffle On about Lifeforce

Oh this episode is a corker, its a divisional episode and its two against one becaue we have a special guest. We last saw him wearing a kilt and swinging a sword during our Highlander episode, well this time Mr David Ray is more sensibly dressed yet still full of passion. Kell is in agreement, Meds, not so much which of course makes great content.

Patrick Stewart pops up in this along with some great effects (for its time) and a naked woman wondering around kissing people to death. Not a bad way to go all in all.

As always please do share our podcast with anyone who can put up with us.

Waffle On about Commando

Waffle On about To Live and Die in L.A

Its another episode celebrating 1985 and Meds and Kell are divided in opinion with this film. One loves it, the other finds it adiquately amusing, can you guess who??? It does have a cracking soundtrack and brilliant perormances from Willem Dafoe and William Peterson.

Hope you enjoy it, as usual please do share the podcast it really does help.

Waffle On about A View To A Kill

Hello and welocme to part 2 of 12 celebrating 1985. On this episode we are very lucky to be joined by regular guest host Mr Peter Coleman. He adores this movie, and so does Meds. Kell however has other feelings.

Roger Moore stars in his final adventure in the tux, he looks a bit ropey bless him but we love the old spy and he bows out with some dubious stuntmen and some even more dubious face lifts. Still banter is large on this episode so we hope you enjoy it.

As usual please do come along and join our Facebook group, we have a great friendly community there and you get to have extra waffle fun.

Waffle On about National lampoons European Vacation

Hello and welcome to January 2024 and the first epiosde of twelve waffling on about 1985. Yes this was the year that Meds and Kell met and wow, what a year for films. We start of with a Chevy Chase film, we loved it as kids but do we love it now??? only one way to find out and thats to listen.

We are very proud that our podcast is fifteen years old this month and we thank you all for staying with us and listening. If you are new, welcome to the show.

This year is going to be a cracker and we will be joined by some regular guest hosts, get rerady for a cool 1985 ride.

Waffle On about The Golden Voyage of Sinbad

Its Christmas time and its part 12 of 12 celebrating 1973.

What a film to end on, this classic was always shown (here in the UK) either on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. Its a bit dubious in parts in todays standards which is why it doesnt get shown much nowadays which is a shame. Still we dont care and we loved it.

We have an announcement regarding next years episodes and of course a Christmas treat for those who listen right to the very end.

As always please do share our podcast, thank you for listening, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Meds and Kell

The Last Detail

Its part 11 of 12 celebrating 1973 and we have good old Jack Nicholson to smile and raise an eyebrow through the whole of this episode. Yes its the 1973 film The Last Detail also starring a very youn (and sane) Randy Quaid and Otis Young.

The film is a journey from Navy base to Navy prison as Signalman 1st Class Billy Buddusky and Gunners mate 1st Class Richard Mulhall escort young prisoner seaman Laurence Meadows to his final destination (well for 8 years) due to him attempting to steal $40. They get into some scrapes but ultimately its buddy movie in the cold.

Please do share our podcast and come and join us on Facebook as we have a great group of people to join in with quality chat.
