Wait... Where's Spock?

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat learn that a Death Sphere isn't always what it claims to be...like a sphere, for instance...that Crusher and Picard really just need to get a room, and that maybe this episode is "the best" of Season One...oh! And apologies for more 'Buffy' chat and comparisons. Last time, we swear*.

"Maj po" this week from Amaya and Mat, who say "tlhIngan maH" in order that we have "qapla"! Yes, it's our first Klingon episode of the season (and the series), and while Amaya's love of Worf continues to grow, Mat almost spoils - close to 40 years on - the TV mini-series "V" - that's right! It's "Wait...where's Marc Singer?", our new addition to the podcast.

This week, Amaya and Mat learn the meaning of self-understanding...as well as just how high Riker can throw his leg over a chair and thrust his crotch at someone! There's also young love, daring rescue, and 'sweet as' Starfleet after-hours fashion, in what amounts to a solid episode...but not without some rewrites, of course.

This week, Amaya and Mat explore the universe's BIG questions: what actually constitutes *real* life, and; what the Hell was the secret name of this podcast for the last eighteen episodes?! They also find time for some of your two favourite segments: Amaya's Phasers on Fashion and Mat's Minute of Miniatures and Matte Paintings.

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat pretty much forget everyone's name, confusing characters with actors, then spend quite a bit of time dissecting the social constructs of the High School Musical-verse - but don't worry: they do end up rating episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...and somewhere in here actually discuss this quite nicely made episode of ST: TNG.

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat debate whether Mat is just a young man wearing a lot of prosthetics to appear much older, and, in fact, is not even her father! We also talk about this episode of ST: TNG which, coincidentally, also features unconvincing prosthetics and a storyline that can't make up its mind what theme it wants to settle upon.

On this week's episode, Riker gets his weird on, Mat gets even weirder about Riker's weirdness, then Picard seems to want to join in, and Amaya has to put up with the lot. There's a lot to discuss here, including the possibility that this might be the best episode yet for Season One, and the fact that Amaya might at last be coming around to Data!

This week, Amaya and Mat visit a planet ruled by a matriarchy, in an episode written by a man seemingly with an anti-matriarchal agenda - SHOCK! Stop the presses! Man scared of women! But seriously, there's just a whole lot of confusion going on here, but not without some redeeming qualities...did I mention Riker's nipples?...

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat have to deal with TWO Datas...Day-tahs...Dar-tahs...Day-tahs - WHATEVER! There are two of them...sort of...and it turns out they kind of like both of them. Yup, Brent Spiner is acting up a storm, Wesley is being a "little b*tch" (according to Amaya), and Mat really, REALLY needs to decide how to pronounce Data...and also take better notes when watching an episode...

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat learn that Picard does have a sense of humour, that Data CAN be funny, but most of all...that Beverly Crusher is the real QUEEN of COMEDY on ST: TNG. And, like Martin Sheen travelling upriver to kill Marlon Brando in "Apocalypse Now", we travel deep, deep into the treacherous territory of episode rewriting...
