Wait... Where's Spock?

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat discover so many new things: Riker's love of cooking; Data's ability to be reticent, and; Picard's murderous desire to destroy the hidden part of his id...preferably with a phaser...and if possible in Shuttle Bay 2. We also learn a lot about the sick bay...like a LOT...many, many times over. In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat channel their inner 'Sound of Music' love into a podcast about ST: TNG and sing "How Do You Solve a Problem Like The Romulans?", while tossing up whether Data is just a deus ex machina - perhaps having usurped Wesley's role - as well as deciding is Geordi, in fact, the most developed character on the show? This week, Amaya and Mat learn all about first love, chocolate mousse, Klingon mating rituals, and make the shocking discovery that Wesley Crusher might in fact be...a complete moron! Noooooooo! On the bright side there's Worf getting pervy, as well as Riker and Guinan's "get a room already" flirt fest. But does it all add up to something? You'll have to tune in to find out!

In this week's episode, Amaya and Mat discover they've watched completely different episodes - sort of! Talk about CONTROVERSY!!! Two WILDLY different responses to a Data-centric episode that should have had them united in their dislike of the android. Instead, they're now dead to one another! This week, Amaya and Mat may have just struck "Next Gen" Season 2 GOLD: sensitive treatment of disability - CHECK; genuinely interesting ideas - CHECK; true human moments - CHECK; Data doesn't piss us off - CHECK...I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
