Welcome to Episode 74 of Wait...That's a Thing?
This week, we uncover a very strange Thanksgiving tradition, sort through leaf-blowing injustices, and navigate the psychology of a marital "prepology" — the loophole that lets you avoid apologizing after a disagreement entirely. They also take on premature Christmas inflatables, questionable gravy inventions, cardigan identity crises, a bald-eagle-cat incident, and whether a lizard is somehow a better pet than a tiny dog.
All that and more from the virtual upholstery shop. Thanks for supporting the podcast!
If you have a thing we should be talking about, need a piece of advice, or want to join us as the Third Nerd, message us on Facebook, Instagram or send us an email: [email protected].
Happy Thanksgiving!
Welcome to Episode 73 of Wait...That's a Thing?
This week has been predictably terrible - schedule interruptions, unexpected delays, malfunctioning furnaces and the start of the "most wonderful time of the year"; however, we tend to soldier through at the old upholstery shop.
We talk about psychological conditions, an international sensation that was a sight to behold both coming and going, and try three snacks. One spicy, one savory, and a third that was an adventure with every bite. Not all were good, mind you. All that and more from the outskirts of Millville.
Thanks for listening and supporting the podcast!

Welcome to Episode 72 of Wait...That's a Thing?
In honor of Evaluate Your Live Day on October 19th, we belatedly take the opportunity to look inward and answer some hard hitting questions about ourselves. Rather than scour the world for things to comment on, we take the opportunity to interview each other on a wide range of topics about regrets, interests, jealousies, and opportunities for growth.
We also share two snacks and a drink - and, for the first time in the history of the podcast, it was something so rank and vile that one of us wouldn't eat it (I bet you can't guess who).
All that, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Welcome to Episode 71 of Wait… That's a Thing?
After a power outage wiped out the last recording, we hit record again—because quitting isn't really our thing. We talk about hitting a downloads milestone before diving into the perils of podcast ads, revisiting a nutty controversy, sharing the end of a creepy art movement, and discussing an alarming trend in high-end fashion that harkens back to the '90s. There's also a little talk of a potential side gig involving a Mars × Uranus mashup.
All that, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Welcome to Episode 70 of Wait…That's a Thing?
This week we wrestle with tech issues before diving head-first into flying squirrels, questionable science, and the curious case of a clown who took showmanship a little too far on the River Bure. Along the way, we explore the romance of finding love through a billboard, celebrate some truly weird holidays, and snack our way through two of the more devisive snacks to date.
All that, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Welcome to Episode 69 of Wait…That's a Thing?
One of our oldest and dearest Third Nerds, Adam Bullard, returns for his third official visit (Patreon subscribers may one day get the deleted scenes). We explore the hierarchy of common greetings, celebrate random holidays, talk new gadgets, and figure out how much someone would do for a couple extra squares of toilet paper. This time we play a new game, sample a breakfast-waffle-inspired beverage, and watch Adam endure one of the worst snacks we've ever tried. We also see how many sophomoric episode number references we can cram into a single show.
All that, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Episode 68 – Size Does Matter (with certain purchases) Welcome to Episode 68 of Wait…That's a Thing?
This week we break in our newly rearranged "upholstery shop/office/workout space/recording studio" and immediately spiral into hot tubs the size of pickle barrels, suspenders on wooden barrels, and even a Cracker Barrel logo conspiracy. We sweat through the first week of school, argue Hawaiian shirts vs. ties, and rack up 2,000 miles just visiting schools. But the real saga is at Walmart, where three oversized TVs, one undersized cashier, and a set of stubborn sliding doors leave us literally wedged.
All that, plus snack experiments, prank plots, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Welcome to Episode 67 of Wait…That's a Thing?
This week we break in our new recording spot—"The Wedge"—with stories of rattling cars, camping mishaps, and bug-in-the-eye disasters. Along the way we debate whether iPhones are nouns or adjectives, why "new car smell" is just plastic fumes, and how to properly soak corn in seawater. We also swap wasp-attack war stories, argue about dipsticks, and wonder what counts as man-card worthy.
All that, plus questionable scents, camping confessions, and more, from the upholstery shop (well, the Wedge) this week.

Welcome to Episode 66 of Wait…That's a Thing?
Awkward reunions, Casper the Ghost in Friendship, Paul Newman yelling at a PT Cruiser, and enough bok choy to feed a small army—this episode's got it all. We debate donut supremacy, taste-test a couple of snacks, talk birds and Minecraft holes, and wrap it up with a round of Quick Quick Quick, where "in your butt" somehow becomes the perfect answer every time.
All that, plus car Dorito crumbs, Chromebooks on a pallet, and more, from the upholstery shop this week.

Welcome to Episode 66 of Wait...That's a Thing?
Unfortuantely, we're on the Zoom machine for this one, so no new snacks but...
We DO talk about breaking up with an old email address, accidentally knock ourselves offline mid-recording, and debate whether slap fighting should be considered a sport or just humanity's lowest point. From filibustering with Robert's Rules to calling each other wankers like the House of Commons, we discuss time-zone chaos, chemtrail conspiracies, and why we'll never win an arm-wrestling match against a fourteen-year-old. Along the way, we unpack boxes of superhero posters and Lego sets, confess to shower avoidance, and wonder what to do with 70 pairs of pliers.
Lots going on in the virtual upholstery shop.
