Welcome to Episode 45!

We spend our afternoon in the upholstery shop looking back at the 2024. We finally dive into what "Across the sky" actually refers to, and look at our highs a lows from the year that was. We also play some more 'Milk, Fork, Kidnap," our favorite game from this past season, and revisit the most notoriously nasty snack.

Welcome to Episode 44 of Wait..That's a Thing!

One this week's very special episode, we are bringing three third nerds into the upholstery shop - well, two physically, one virtually - as we reunite the final lineup of Mid-Coast Maine's Preeminent All-Educator Cover Band, Just Teachers.

We spent nearly a decade making music together - and after Matt headed back to England in 2021, it's awesome to have everyone together once again. In fact, this is how Lucas and Ian met and the idea for this podcast was partially inspired by the conversations before, during and after rehearsals and gigs.

We spend an afternoon catching up, talking about a whole host of band and non-band related things, have a slew of technical and sound difficulties, and share some holiday cheer.

Welcome to Episode 42 of Wait...That's a Thing?

This week we welcome Trevor to the Third Nerd Chair!. He is not only am English Teaching colleague, but also a published fantasy author, world traveller, video game enthusiast and hockey player. We spend a lengthy afternoon in the bunker at studio 117 talking about modern inventions, hockey, the modern state of video games, and go through a couple of rounds of random questions. We love filling the Third Nerd chair to banter about the banality that we bring to every episode. Trevor held is nose and plunged into the episode with both feet.

As we approach the Thanksgiving, we wanted to say how grateful we are for your support. And, as you sit down for your gatherings this week, maybe recruit a future Thingee? With a whole confluence of events including Halloween, the End of the Quarter, Playoff Sports, Minor Kitchen Rennovations, the End of Daylight Savings Times and other Inconveniences that could derail a humble podcast, we couldn't find time to do a fully-fledged episode this week.

HOWEVER, on the verge of the Election, we thought a quick check in would be in order. Catching up on the week that was, having a peripheral chat about the election, sharing some examples of why leaving your house is not a great idea, and looking at some ways to potentially perk up your post election week.

Welcome to Wait That's a Thing - Episode 38!

Definitely a Friday afternoon at the end of a long week! Halloween is near, the leaves are falling, and we're both recovering from a marathon parent teacher conference sesh.

But...that won't slow us down from talking about Elephant Human Rights, a minor medical emergency scare during dinner, one of the greatest moments in broadcasting history, and how kids in the 50's got up close and personal with each other.
