Grant Grant is joined by Geoff Hanmer, Adjunct Lecturer in Architectural Structures & Construction at UNSW about the building industry that has been responsible for producing dud buildings across the country.

Mr Hanmer writes ‘both major political parties have played a role in creating the policy and self-regulation regime that has produced so many faulty buildings over the last 30 years. It is about time the ALP, the Coalition, the BMF and the ABCB admitted that self-regulation has failed’.

Luke Grant talks to Pauline Hanson, One Nation Senator for Queensland, about her move for an immigration plebiscite at the 2022 election being defeated in the Senate.  The vote was lost 54 votes to 2.

They also discuss Senate Hanson’s push to establish a parliamentary inquiry into the family law system, child support, legal fees, children’s rights & domestic violence.

Luke Grant talks to Gregg Finden, owner of Red Earth Energy, about a disturbing report that says more than one in five solar energy unit installed are ‘defective.

According to Clean Energy Regulator data, 748 of the 3678 solar units inspected last year on Australian homes were found to be substandard in 2018 amid a boom in the renewable energy source driven by cheaper costs and government rebates.

Luke Grants talks to Tim Mander, Queensland LNP Deputy Leader & Shadow Treasurer, who says the once mighty Sunshine State continues to lag behind the rest of the country, as the full extent of the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s anti-jobs and high-taxing agenda is laid bare.

Mr Mander says the latest State of the States report revealed a shocking state of affairs for all Queenslanders.

Michael talks to Dr Jeremy Sammut, Research Fellow at the Centre for Independent Studies, who back in 2016 looked very carefully into the subject of the health scheme including Medicare and said we had to do better.

He made the point then that the population is getting older, treatments becoming more complicated & more expensive.

As a result, premiums are going through the roof, the cost over all for private & public health is going up being nearly 10% of GDP.

Michael is joined by Dave Sharma, Liberal member for Wentworth & former ambassador to Israel, who this week delivered his maiden speech to parliament where he said Australia would have to be prepared to pay an economic or political price for crucial decisions in the years ahead that could offend rising powers in the region.

In his first speech to Parliament, Mr Sharma said "an adversary no longer needs to be able to physically reach Australia in order to coerce, threaten or influence us," he said.
