The Australian newspaper’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan wrote on the weekend that the Morrison government is stepping up efforts as part of an intensified move by Western governments to combat the ­increased persecution of Christians in many parts of the world.

He writes that Canberra is co-ordinating closely with other Western governments about the fate of Pakistani Christian woman Asia Bibi, whose conviction for blasphemy and subsequent death sentence were overturned by the Pakistani Supreme Court in October.

Billed as having the world’s whitest sand, Hyams Beach on NSW's south coast has seen thousands of disgruntled visitors turned away told that it was at capacity and there were “plenty of other good beaches” to choose from.  

Shoalhaven Council has taken the extraordinary step as new figures show the number of vehicles queuing to enter the village has soared to record highs.

The children’s charity Royal Far West will officially launch a new state-of-the art centre today. Linday Cane, CEO Royal Far West in Manly explains to Michael that this facility will be Australia’s only centre to integrate health, education and disability services for country kids that aren’t able to get specialised assistance in their own towns.
