IT'S A NEW DECADE. In today’s episode I am sharing my words for 2020 and the lessons learned from an amazing yet uncomfortable 2019. Every now and then people need something to motivate them. They need to know that it’s okay to be excited and plan and want to shift in their lives. I’m cheering you on friends as you lie in the dark having these thoughts but don’t want to say it out loud because you don’t want to get dragged when your motivation gives out. We are not just planning for a new year but a new decade.

Chief Warrant Officer Thomas Shipp is using the acronym PTSD to deliberately focus on Peace, Therapy, Serenity, and Discovery. We also talked about life transitions and the My PTSD Tour that he is gearing up for as he retires from a 21-year career in the military.

I BELONG HERE. I am back from my 10-day holiday to South Africa and I am still jet-lagged. Since we have returned, John Henry and I have spent time telling our friends and family about the trip and answering as many questions as possible. What better way to answer the questions with one shot than to put it in a podcast episode. SEEDS OF GREATNESS. I am off preparing for a 10-day vacation to South Africa where it all started. Sitting in my place is our resident houseguest, John Henry Scott III. This week's episode was inspired by a quote by the incomparable Langston Hughes - "Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby." We all contain seeds of greatness, seeds of uniqueness and significance inside of us but it is our responsibility to allow those seeds to be watered. Without rain, what is invested will not come to fruition. Listen as John gives us acrostics for the words 'rain' and 'sing' that will help us understand the importance of allowing our seeds to be watered.
