Episode No.25 - Israel Lazo / Pastor of Church of Power

Thank you everyone for helping us share the message and getting people registered to vote! We call it a win if we got one new registered voter, but guess what! We ended up with several new and even 1st time registered voters so we think it was a success! 

Back from our break, this episode features Israel Lazo, the Pastor of Church of Power. We learn about what it's like preaching during COVID-19, who a pastor goes to for advice and his opinions on why people have a weird relationship with Religion. We also talk about building a community of support, the most underrated and overrated thing in a relationship, and deep dive into the rest of his Big 5!

Episode No.24 - S.Preston / MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL & Disney licensed Minimalist Artist

We had the pleasure of talking to minimalist artist, S.Preston! Known for his iconic minimalist Baseball Stadiums & Mascot Art, his pieces has been featured nationally on ESPN and currently has a home in The Baseball Hall of Fame. His story of success is a reminder to always bet on yourself and that it's never too late to discover what your passion in life is. We talked about his experience of being a 1st Generation Korean-Canadian, Hockey (of course), opening his gallery, getting MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL & Disney licenses as an artist. We learned about "Duende" Moments, what "The Tapestry of Canada" is and the rest of his BIG 5. Also, S.Preston gives us an inside sneak peak of what he's working on!

Episode No.22 - Simone Gearing / Financial Coach -

Today we spoke to Simone, a Financial Coach who points us in the right direction with some helpful financial tips. Simone shares her story of hustling, hitting the corporate ceiling, starting her own business and breaking her family's Generational Cycle of Poverty. We learn why she thinks school is a scam and why financial education is not taught in K-12 schools. We also get a glimpse into Simone's life as a Queer Black & Brown Woman in America as well as the rest of her Big 5.

Episode No.21 - David Linsangan / Teacher & Caricature Artist

Today we talked to David Linsangan, an 8th grade Science Teacher and Caricature Artist. His fun caricature style has caught the attention of many including his favorite hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks, who commissioned him to create one-of-a-kind artwork for their 25th anniversary celebration. 

In addition to his artwork, we talked about how we miss playing hockey, his life as a teacher with distance learning coming, cyberbullying then vs now, and deep dove into the rest of his Big 5!
