From Mount Nebo, Moses blesses the tribes and says goodbye as Joshua becomes Israel’s new leader. God tells Joshua to be strong and brave and to lead the people across the flooded Jordan. When the priests carry the Ark of the Covenant and step into the water, the river stops and everyone walks across on dry ground. Joshua sets up twelve stones as a reminder of God’s miracle. In their new land, Israel celebrates Passover, eats Canaan’s food, and the manna stops. A faith-building story about trusting God and remembering His answers to prayer.
