The Silent Killer in Women (1) – Dangerous Ovarian Cancer

The ovarian cancer has become the seventh of the top ten cancers of women in Taiwan in 2021. The report was released in Jan 2022. The early symptom of this cancer was “no” symptom; therefore, it was called a silent killer in women. As a matter of fact, the 5-year survival rate is relatively low, and the recurrence rate is relatively high. The genetic issues have been broadly noticed and BRCA1/BRCA2 are the major trending topics.

An Introduction of TACT2 (Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy 2)

Chelation therapy has been applying to heavy metal detoxification since 1930s. Trial to assess chelation therapy (TACT) was performed on subjects with cardiovascular diseases by Columbia University during 2003-2010 . The result was astonishing among patients with diabetes. The reduction of recurrence of myocardial infarction was up to 52%. Therefore, TACT2 was taken off in 2016 to investigate and confirm if concordant with TACT.

Parents now think of Covid-19 in children with great fear in Taiwan. The media may unintentionally exaggerate the risk and people may misinterpret the statistics. One of my clients worried so much because he believed that the incidence of covid-19 induced encephalitis was up to half of all of the positive children. As a matter of fact, it was actual only half of the severe cases which were 20+ at all.

168 fasting which was named intermittent fasting by Dr. Mark Mattson has become quite popular in Taiwan since the doctor published his research results and advocated it in the media. A recent clinical trial revealed there was no differnece between time-restricted or not time- restricted. The outcome was resported in April 2022 in the New England Journal of Mecidine and has greatly drawn people's attenion.

The critical point may be calorie-restriciton insteasd of time-restriction based on this research.
