Today's topic is coming from Romans 8:22 through 28. Our title is that there is grace for every groan. Grace for every groan. I'm going to read Romans 8:22 through 28, and I want you to notice how many times the word groan is in this particular text. Let's read.
Verse 22: For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs until now. Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope. But hope that is seen is not hope. For why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
## The Groanings of Creation and Humanity

Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the heart knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
As you can see, the word groan or groanings is mentioned three times. When the serpent deceived Eve and Eve talked her husband Adam into biting the apple, that was a turning point in history, and it had devastating consequences for all mankind. All of creation from that one bite began to groan. The Lord said, "Cursed is the ground because of you. In pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you." The effects of this turning point are still being felt today in what the Bible calls in this particular text, groanings.
## The Effects of Sin: Our Groanings

We feel the effects of sin in our bodies and see it in our lives. These are groanings. We endure frustrations and devastation that comes with our bodies that are susceptible to diseases like cancer, diabetes, strokes, depression, arthritis. We bear pain of loss and heartache that comes from the death of a spouse or a son or daughter or brother or sister. These are groanings. We struggle with stress that comes with life, like worries and how to make ends meet, and thinking about our future and careers and how our children will be well off. And all of these things are groanings from that turning point in history.
But another turning point happened in history, and this took place when an innocent man was bruised, beaten, and broken. He was nailed to a lifeless tree, a cross, and He hanged there for three agonizing hours. The turning point continued three days later at an open tomb where this once dead man stood alive again. His name is Jesus Christ. And because He died for our sins and rose that we may have life, there is grace for every groan.
## Grace for Every Groan

Now there is groaning. But because of this turning point in history, there is grace for every groan. God has a treatment for every pain episode that we go through. God's grace is Him supplying us with what we can't earn and what we don't deserve. It's all based on what Jesus did for us. There's grace for groans, and there's three treatments I want to talk about in the next three episodes. And these are pain treatments that remind you that for every suffering that you go through, every challenge, every obstacle, every negative thought that the enemy plants inside of your mind, know that we have a treatment for it in God's grace.
Paul asked God to take it away three times, and the Lord said, "My grace is sufficient for your thorns." And His grace is sufficient for your thorns, because the Word says that His power works best in your weakness. Trials and tribulations and the things that we go through—it does not feel good. But God promises to work all of these things together for the good in your life.
## God's Grace is Sufficient for Today

And just like a patient that's in the hospital that is hooked to an IV, and that IV represents his pain medication. He's going to press that button whenever he feels that pain. Well, God has a spiritual IV for you and it is His Spirit. His grace flows through His Spirit. And when you encounter God, when you engage God, there's grace for every pain episode in your life.
Now remember, there's no grace for tomorrow. There's no grace for next month. There's no grace for next year. God's grace is sufficient for today. So you rest in God's grace today. You be still and know that He is God. You be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to get angry. Learn God's will for your life today. Because regardless of what you're going through, remember this: your mess is your ministry. The promise oftentimes is revealed through your pain. But in all of this, in all of your groanings, God's grace is more powerful than your groaning. The turning point of what Jesus did is eternal.
## Closing Prayer

He came that you may have life and that you may have it abundantly. So let's go ahead and pray to have the faith to lean and trust in God's grace. Let us pray.
Father, in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, who is the Christ. We elevate your wonderful name because we know that you're all powerful. You are all sufficient. And you have everything that we need. Your word declares that you will supply all of our needs according to your riches and glory. And we pray, Father, that in the midst of groanings and in the midst of pain and challenges that we go through, we pray, Father, that your grace would give us peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray, Father, that your grace would empower us to stand in the midst of everything we face and in the midst of how we feel. We pray, Father, that our life would be an expression of your goodness and your grace. And so we pray, Father, that you wou

Our daily prayer today is a devotion that is centered from our last two episodes. I want you to know that you are built for whatever you are going through. God brought you to it because you have what it takes to get through it. And in our first episode, I reminded you that in order to activate the spirit, to move in your life, to give you what's needed, you've got to realize that your focus activates everything in motion. It is to value the things of God, value eternal things over earthly things. Because the word says to set your mind on things above and not on things of the earth. Your focus activates everything. But also you must realize that you died with Christ. And that means this is a mindset that every day I am dying to myself, I must decrease so that he can increase in my life.
What gas is to a fire is what suffering is to the Holy Spirit, because his power works best in our weakness. It is when we're down to nothing that we have everything in God. There has to be a death before there's a resurrection. There has to be a breakdown before there is a breakthrough, because his power works best in my weakness. So after always be dying, picking up my cross and following him. For you died. But then the Bible says that your real life is hidden in Christ. In Colossians three and three is our daily scripture for today. Colossians three and three for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Today, brothers and sisters, in our daily prayer, I want you to believe in your identity in Christ. Realize that you live in Christ. Your real life is hidden. It means your real identity is hidden with Christ in God. This is undiscovered power that you have. Remember, you're built for this undiscovered power that you have hidden talents, hidden gifts, hidden abilities, and strengths.
There's an untapped power that you have that is in Christ.
This is your identity. The best analogy I can give you to kind of clear up exactly what I'm saying here is whenever you take a child to a circus, you would normally see the elephants outside the parking lot as they, you know, were being prepared to go in to entertain the crowd. One of the things you will notice if you've seen that site, is that the huge beasts that are elephants are being held hostage by a little chain around one of their ankles that's connected to a post that's in the ground. It's amazing to think that such a little chain connected to such a post could hold such a big beast hostage. An elephant could lift cars. An elephant could simply swipe and destroy the chain. But circus elephants. They don't do that. Because when they were baby elephants, their master, the trainer, taught them that when they felt the chain they were supposed to submit. The baby elephants never had the opportunity to understand their identity.
So circus elephants are only good for entertainment because in their early days their identity was ripped from them. See, a lot of us can't reach our potential because we're held hostage by small chains, mental chains that remind you of your failures, that remind you of your hurts. Mental change and negative words that people spoke about you. Chains and voices that tell you you will always struggle. You will never achieve. You will never have this or you will never have that. See, these are chains in our minds, but they are not our identity. Our real life. The Bible says our real life is hidden with Christ. We have a real identity in him and your identity is not wrapped in your past. It's not wrapped in what your chains may tell you, but your identity is in Christ, and it is in Christ that we are more than conquerors. It is in Christ that we are the head and not the tail. It is in Christ that we can do all things through him that gives us strength.
See, it is in Christ that you are gifted. You are anointed and you are appointed. It is in Christ that you can break through bronze of iron. It is in Christ that no weapon formed against you can prosper. See, you are already built for this because you are in Christ. You already have what it takes because you are in Christ and you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. You are built to succeed. You are built to overcome trouble. You are built to be delivered. You are built for power. And you are built to walk in dominion. Because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. See? Don't fear the chains of the devil, because you are already built. Just like the elephant was built. He just didn't know it. I don't want you to be a circus Christian. Just like a circus elephant. That think you're limited because of your past mistakes and past failures? No, that's a false reality. That's a false identity.
Your identity is in Christ. And don't let the chains of the devil make you think that you'll always be this way. You are built to break every chain. You are built to break every yoke. You are built to move obstacles because you are in Christ and your life is in him. Brothers and sisters, you are built for this. That is our daily devotion. Now let's go into our daily prayer.
Father, in the precious and matchless name of Jesus. I thank you today, Lord, that I am gifted. I thank you that I am anointed, and I thank you that I am appointed for great things. I thank you, father, that no weapon fashioned against me can succeed because you're living on the inside of me. Help me, father, not to dwell on the past, past mistakes, past failures, but help me to meditate upon your truths of who I am in you. That I am one with you and more than a conqueror. That I can do all things through you that gives me strength.
So, father, I pray that you would empower my confidence, empower my faith in you to believe that I have already succeeded. I have already overcome trouble. I am already delivered. I already have the power to walk in dominion. Because you're living on the inside of me. I will lift my head today. And I will walk in the joy of the Lord. I will sing a new song unto the Lord. And I will worship in your temple. Father, I thank you today that I am built for everything the enemy throws at me. And I'm not only built for it. I am built to succeed. Because you're living on the inside of me. In Jesus name, I thank you, father, and I pray. Amen.

Welcome to Warfare Prayers, the podcast where you will find guidance and strength for life's toughest battles. Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word.
I want you to know today that you are indeed built for everything that you're facing in life in this season. If God brought you to it, he's going to bring you through it. You are already built for it. It simply means that God has already placed all of the spiritual components and all of the ingredients that you need to get through this season of your life. You're going to get through it because you're built for it. But it's a few things you got to recognize, realize, and that you must do. Because our scripture is based in Colossians three two. And the Bible says to set your mind on things above and not on things of the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. So to activate the Holy Spirit in your life, to really move and set everything in motion to keep moving forward, you got to realize that your focus activates everything.
You have to make sure brothers and sisters through every day that your focus, your value, is in heavenly things and not on earthly things. Yes, we are in the world, but we're not to be of the world because we are from another kingdom, and our kingdom is the Kingdom of God. So you realize that your focus activates everything in motion. Your focus is to be heavenly and not earthly. But then our lesson And in our daily prayer for today takes us into our second point. And our daily prayer is the number two. Realize you died with Christ. The Bible says, for you died. It is to realize that you are dead to the things of the world at the moment of salvation. At the moment you accepted Christ into your heart. You died to sin and its power in your life. And here's what's important. You must keep dying to see God's power. See it? Salvation. You died once that was to be saved to be a child. But as you live in this flesh, you have to continue to crucify the flesh.
That is why in Colossians three verse five, Paul says, therefore put to death your members, which are on the earth fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desires, covetousness, which is idolatry. So he's talking to some believers who had not quite put away these things. And so Paul is telling them, you died and your life is hidden in Christ. Therefore put to death. He's calling them to suffer. See, there has to be a death before there's a resurrection. You got to suffer. There has to be suffering before there is a celebration. Sometimes there's a breakdown before there's a breakthrough in your life. This is why John the Baptist said I must decrease and he must increase and understand that the fire of the Holy Spirit. It works in your suffering seasons. It works in your night seasons. This is why Paul asked God to take the thorns away. And the spirit said, my grace is sufficient, for my power works best for you in weakness. This? Yes, night seasons have an end.
That's why, he says weeping may endure for a night. But joy comes in the morning. You may be in a night season in your life right now, but I want you to be encouraged that your story doesn't end in the night. The night season is temporary. Death season is temporary. The suffering season is temporary. The breakdown is only temporary. There's a reward coming for your pain. There's going to be double for your trouble. How can I say this confidently? Because God keeps his word. He is faithful. He brought you to this point in your life because you are already built for it. See, the enemy wants to plant voices in your mind that you're not strong enough. You're not wise enough. You're not experienced enough. You're not smart enough. No. Those are the thoughts of the enemy. God has put everything in you that's needed to handle what you're going through today, or you wouldn't be facing it. So I want you to realize that you are built for this. But you have to decrease so that the spirit can keep increasing in your life.
Remember, you're built for this, but you're also called to suffer because it's in suffering that the power of the Holy Spirit gets to manifest. Just like gas is to a fire. This is what suffering is to the Holy Spirit. As you decrease, as you decide to pick up your cross and carry it daily, the Holy Spirit will begin to light in you more and more and more. And this is where you have the joy of the Lord. This is where you experience his fulfillment, his strength, his power in your life. You're built for this. But be ready to suffer. You must decrease before he increases in your life. Let us pray. Father, we thank you for your presence. Your grace, your goodness, your mercy and your love. And father, we pray right now that you would renew and restore our minds. That we may die to ourselves and that we may live for you today. We pray today, father, that you would remove the people that shouldn't be in our lives, that only serve as a distraction.
And we pray that you would send brothers and sisters our way, would hold us accountable. Who would encourage us? Who would lead and guide us into your word, who would be a blessing and not a of course. Who would be of light and not of darkness? Father, activate your grace in our lives today, that we may live for you. And we pray that you would give us power to endure the night seasons of our lives, the suffering seasons, and help us to fix our eyes on you. For you are the author and finisher of our faith, and we will trust in you today that all of your promises are yes and Amen. Empower me today, father, to die to myself. That I might live for you because I am built for this. In Jesus name, Amen.

 In our daily prayer today. I want you to know that you are built for this. I want to plant in your mind, soul and spirit, and I want you to be grounded in this truth that whatever God has brought you to, it means that you already have the ingredients, the components within your spirit that's needed to get through it. You are built for this. My scripture today comes from Colossians three and one. The Bible says, if then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. This particular scripture is all about our identity in Christ. You have an identity, and identity means that you are already equipped with everything that's needed for what you are facing today in life.
You are built for it. But some of us, we fall victim to not knowing what our identity is. It is like a fireman coming to a fire scene, and he has on a fire jacket, and he has a water hose in his hands, but he gets afraid of the fire. He fails to even use or utilize his equipment because he forgets his identity. He forgets that he is a fireman and he was trained. He was built to put out fire. He has the equipment and everything that's needed to solve the problem. I want you to know, today, in this daily prayer, that you've been equipped with everything you need to get victory today. Simply because you have this one. Two. If you're saved and you know Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit. And because you have the spirit living on the inside of you, no weapon formed against you today will not be able to prosper. You are built for this. The Bible says this, that he will do exceedingly and abundantly above what you may ask, or what you may think.
That simply means God is ready and God is able to do the impossible in your life. But he says it's according to the power that works in you. What is this power that works in us? It is the power of the spirit. But in order for the spirit to work, you need to activate the spirit to work. Well, how do I activate the spirit to work in my life? How do I activate the spirit for breakthroughs? For miracles? How do I activate the spirit to see the hand of God moving in my life? Well, the Bible says in Colossians three it says, if then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. The Bible says, set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. So in order to activate the Holy Spirit, you got to realize your focus activates everything in motion in your life. It is your focus that activates everything in motion. For the hand of God to move.
 So I ask you today, where is your focus? See, the lust of the eyes is all about what you value. Okay. A toddler will value toys. They light up when they see toys. As an adult, you may value your job or promotion. The world values money. They light up for money. But see, you cannot activate God's power until you value heavenly things more than you value earthly things. This is why the Bible says in verse two, I just read it. Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth. Because your focus activates God's power into motion. This is why the Bible says in Hebrews 12 one and two. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. These are earthly things. Then it says, let us run with perseverance the race set before us. And then here it is. Fixing our eyes on Jesus. Your focus. The author and finisher of our faith.
 My question for you today, brothers and sisters, as you start out your journey. Do you value heavenly things enough to focus on Jesus? See the reason the children of Israel, an entire generation didn't make it to the Promised Land. That was Moses generation, and Joshua's generation made it to the Promised Land was all about a heavenly mindset. See Moses generation, everyone but Caleb and Joshua. The entire generation had an earthly mindset. All they thought about was Egypt. They complained about the water. They complained about the food coming down from heaven. They complained about everything. They had an earthly mindset. And that mindset delayed the promises of God in their life. And that mindset actually closed off the promises of God in their life. But Caleb and Joshua, the 12 spies went to spy out the land in Canaan, and Caleb and Joshua came back and said, we can take it. They had a heavenly mindset. They believed not in man's earthly ability, but they believed in God's ability. Who sits in heaven? And they were the only two from that generation to enter into the Promised Land.
 See, your focus activates everything in motion. Do you have an earthly mindset or do you have a heavenly mindset? The Bible says in verse two again, Colossians three verse two. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Your focus activates everything into motion. Let us pray for your focus.
Let us pray for your direction today. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit would have his way in your life. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus. Lord, we thank you for the daily scripture that leads and guides us into all truth. Thank you, father, for teaching us through the word that our eyes must stay fixed on you, father. So we pray today that your Holy Spirit would lead and guide us into all truth, that you would set the path before us. And we pray, father, that you would give us strength to resist every temptation ......

Today I declare by faith and in the name of Jesus, the blessings and power of the Lord upon my daughter. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover her today, that she might be protected from all hurt, harm, or danger mentally, physically, and emotionally in the name of Jesus. I declare your word over her life that is found in Psalms 32 and seven, that you will be her hiding place.

Thank you for listening to Warfare Prayers, a podcast created to empower your mind, soul and spirit through daily scripture, devotion and prayer. And today's topic is to avoid the dangerous traps that the world presents to us.
We are in first John two and 15, and the Bible tells us not to love the world or the things in the world, because the things that are in the world are not of the father. Okay. And what are these things? What are the dangerous traps?
They are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. We went over the lust of the flesh, and the way to overcome the flesh is by yielding to the spirit. We went over the lust of the eyes. That's the second trap.
The lust of the eyes describes someone who's captivated by an outward show of material things. And the way to overcome the lust of the eyes. It is to renew your mind every day. And how do you know your mind is renewed? You know your mind is renewed when you have a high value of eternal things.
