Looks like Invincible took a bit of a side quest in Episode 4, where he comes face-to-face with Damon Darkblood. We break down this unexpected duo and how this episode felt noticeably calmer than the first three, Jazz finally had a moment to breathe. We also get a glimpse of Satan in his final form, plus a new villain that could be a real challenge for Mark in the episodes ahead. Paradise Episode 7 was full of its own, Side Quest…so much happened and to much to discuss. The reunion we’ve been waiting for is finally here, Xavier and Teri are back together. It’s been a long time coming, and it was genuinely a beautiful moment to watch. But they’re not the only ones reconnecting… it looks like Sinatra may have come face-to-face with her son, though that situation still leaves us with plenty of questions. Heading into Episode 8, there’s still so much we don’t know. The biggest mystery? Who or what, is Alex? Is Jane really gone? And why is Kal’s son starting to become a major problem? We break it all down and dive into our finale predictions.

For Episode 198, we’re wrapping up Cross Season 2 with our sister in pod, Helaine from Talkin Ish: A Podcast Amongst Friends, she joined us for our Season 1 review, so we had to bring her back to close out Season 2.

The weight of it all is clearly taking a toll on him, and you can feel it in every scene. We also get into the unexpected but entertaining friendship forming between Allen and Nolan, along with the growing theme of accountability. At the same time, we start to uncover the truth about what really happened to the Viltrumites, and it’s not as straightforward as it seemed.

We’re wrapping up our Side Quest Reviews for Cross Season 2 with Episode 7. Don’t worry, we’ll still be doing a full breakdown of the finale and the entire season in Episode 198. Jazz kicks things off with a smooth “told you so” to John, pointing out how the red flags surrounding his mother were flying all season. We also dive into the major death in this episode and discuss how that betrayal might play out in the season finale. Jason drops a very interesting theory, but we’ll have to wait and see if it actually comes to fruition. We also give Matthew Lillard his flowers and shout out how he went from the Scream 7 set straight over to Cross. After seeing both performances, the man deserves his props.
