A lot of people are wondering what comes next now that the voting rights legislation known as the For the People Act has been filibustered by Senate Republicans.

Indivisible does have a plan for that. It’s called Deadline for Democracy, and we talk about it with Nina Moussavi (Indivisible’s Organizing Manager for WA, CA, and WV) and Kat Pipkin (Steering Committee for Washington Indivisible Network and Producer for the Town Hall Series).

Also, we have information about a concert to benefit West Virginia Rising, a grassroots group doing incredible work on the ground in the state that has become the center of American politics.

In a rare bit of rare good news, Democratic lawmakers in Texas walked out of the legislature in order to deny Republicans the quorum they needed to enact a package of some of the most restrictive voting laws yet.

James Slattery serves as Voting Rights Attorney with the Texas Civil Rights Project, and he's been on the ground working with the progressive coalition that organized to defeat this bill.
