  • Town Hall Series: Candidates in the 16th Legislative District
    Join us for a conversation with Danielle Garbe Reser, Frances Chvatal, and Carly Coburn, candidates who are running for the state legislature in the 16th LD in for senate, and representatives in positions one and two, respectively.
    LD 16 is a district that includes Columbia and Walla Walla counties, most of southern Benton County, and Pasco in Franklin County, and while it's traditionally been a Republican stronghold, it's been turning purple of late and represents a key pickup opportunity for Dems in 2020.

    As part of our town hall series in partnership with the Washington Indivisible Network and Indivisible Tacoma, we present a conversation with Representative Beth Doglio (LD 22), a candidate for Congress in the 10th Congressional district, a district that includes portions of Thurston, Pierce, and Mason counties, as well as the cities of Olympia and Puyallup.
    Representative Doglio is a progressive who has garnered the sole endorsement from all three major Indivisible groups in her district--Indivisible Tacoma, Olympia Indivisible, and Indivisible Puyallup.

  • Town Hall Series: Candidates in the 30th Legislative District
    We speak this week with two extraordinary candidates for Representative in the 30th LD, a district that includes the cities of Federal Way, Des Moines, Auburn, Algona, Pacific, and Milton, as well as parts of unincorporated King County.
    Jamila Taylor is an attorney and small business owner who is an appointee to the Federal Way Human Services Commission and is on the board of the Judicial Institute. Formerly, she was Statewide Advocacy Council for the Northwest Justice Project, and has worked for numerous community advocacy organizations, including the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative. Ms. Taylor is running for representative in position one, a seat vacated by Mike Pelliciotti, who is currently running for State Treasurer.
    And Jesse Johnson is an educator who has served as representative in position two since he was appointed in January to replace Kristine Reeves, who vacated the seat to run for Congress. Previously, he served as a city council member for Federal Way.

    Colton Myers is a Health Policy Analyst for the State of Washington, with a masters in public policy from the University of Washington. He is running for representative in position one.
    Darcy Huffman is the Vice-President elect for the Southwestern Washington SIN-udd of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She recently served as the resource and Communication Director at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Olympia. She is running for representative in position two.
