This week, Stephan, along with panelists Josh Trupin (Democratic Chair of Washington's 8th Congressional District) and Chris Petzold (founder and head of Indivisible Washington's 8th District) discuss Thursday's passage of the GOP tax bill through the House, and how it might be a losing proposition for Republicans no matter what happens next.

They also break down the shift in the balance of power in Olympia now that the Democrats officially have a one-vote majority in the senate, and lay out what we can expect to get done (as well as what likely won't, at least not right away).

And last, they discuss the Senate race in Alabama. Plus, they each confess what they didn't know BT (or, "Before Trump").

We talk with the founding executive director for Emerge Washington, Karen Besserman. Emerge is a national organization that trains Democratic women to run for elected office.

Then we'll have an election wrap-up of the gubernatorial and House of Delegates Democratic wins in Virginia.

And last, a discussion with Indivisible Spokane founder Cynthia Hamilton, about some of the very innovative protests they've organized.

First, we talk with Indivisible member Kat Martin about her one-day seminar called the Trump Tax Plan Resistance Summit, which features Indivisible's Chad Bolt and Seattle philanthropist Nick Hanauer. The event, which will be held in Seattle on Sunday, November 12th, will teach attendees not only how to resist the GOP tax plan, but also how to build coalitions and resistance movements that last.

Then we chat with associate director of fiscal policy with the Washington State Budget & Policy Center, Andy Nicholas, all about how the GOP tax plan may affect us here in the state.

Indivisible member Julie Negrin suffers from an inherited condition that has led to her having four different kinds of cancer and losing four organs as a result. She's relied in part on the ACA exchange for her ongoing treatment, and, back in July, during the many fights to save the ACA, Julie had pledged that if Trumpcare passed, she would stop all treatment, something that would have quickly led to her death.

Now, four months later, Julie has a new quest: With the enrollment period for ACA upon us (something for which the Trump administration has slashed funding)Julie is chartering an RV across Washington to help people across the state sign up.
