Streaming exclusively on Hulu, expectations were non-existent but the team found a lot to appreciate from the signature sound effects to the cinematography. I know you might be used to a podcast of certified Marvel haters, but Josh and Carmela decided to go a different route with this one. Not quite a reboot, not quite a sequel, these franchises are doing their best to appeal to their original generation while also enticing a brand new generation of viewership, so it’s up to us to figure out if it’s all worth watching. As always, we get into what we liked, what we didn’t, and the role of nostalgia in so many of today’s movies. Did you think Lightyear was a welcome addition to the Pixar universe, or was it simply a cash grab to expand their merch line?
