Peter was the man who preached the opening sermon of the new testament church, brought the Samaritan Church into order, and introduced gentiles to the one and only true God. When the chosen people God of God were ice cold with religious regulations, Peter came along and lit a fire! When the Samaritans needed direction for the fire Philip lit, Peter came along and provided it. It was Peter who went before the Gentiles and introduced them to the move of the Holy Spirit. He lived his life as a fire that broke and melted the ice.

This study will focus on the power gifts of Faith, Gifts of Healing and Miracles.

An iceberg moves upward and grows under extreme conditions as it influences its surroundings. We can learn a lot from an iceberg. A new year chance for a fresh start that does not include things that have held us down in the past. It’s extremely cold in a new year. Every January we are given a chance for a fresh start during a cold time. An iceberg thrives when it is cold. It does not allow extremely cold conditions to influence its existence. Extreme cold conditions can make us better if we chose to live by our God-given formation and overcome. God made you influence cold moments rather than cold moments influencing you. He formed you to grow under cold conditions. An iceberg influences it’s surrounding. When you look at a body of water with one in it, you’ll probably look at the iceberg rather than the water. It shows you something amazing in the middle of something ordinary. So, in order to be like the iceberg we sinking feelings need to go, God’s empowerment needs to grow within us and we need to show the rest of the world what it looks like to emerge above a cold dark environment.

This session will focus on a few of the manifestation gifts. The Gift of the Word of Knowledge, The Gift of the Word of Wisdom, The Gift of Prophecy.

To a religious person, it would seem that Peter did not deserve to preach. Yet, he is the one that God chose to preach the first sermon of the New Testament Church. The Holy Spirit fell powerfully upon a group of approximately 120 believers at an upper room meeting. They all began to speak in tounges and proclaim the power of God. They went outside where thousands of people gathered together from all over the Roman Empire on the Day of Pentecost. Peter stood up and stood out like a fire on top of a block of ice. God used him to melt away the ice in the hearts of the people.
