Fear can come at us in unexpected and surprising ways, but most often it exists in a place where things feel uncomfortable. To overcome fear we must face it, we must confront it, and that likely means venturing into a place that we avoid, a place that doesn't feel good... yet.

When it comes to fear we often think of "the big bad monster". It's something that we are terrified of. The big scare. More often though, fear is present in our lives in a very small way. It arrives on our doorstep as an uncomfortable feeling we avoid or don't want to be in. The truth can be this way. Uncomfortable or even, inconvenient. Although, by facing it, by dealing with it, by working with it, we get a handle on it and we can transform from it. Join us for a conversation that aims to venture beyond the discomforts that hold us back.

Do you ever feel like you don't add up, or like you're not enough? This is a common challenge for the artist. So what does being interested and getting honest have to do with breaking through it?

One way to deal with self-doubt is to puff out your chest and put an an act like you are a big deal, but this is not a long term strategy. When you are trying to convince yourself or others of something that isn't true you end up being burdened with a secret that you are desperate to keep hidden. You end up feeling alone in the world because your truest self is hidden. Sharing it, being vulnerable, becomes an unaccessible option because doing so would leave you exposed and at risk of losing what you built up in your life. So maybe there is another approach.
