This week on Wayfinding Wellness, I sat down with Jayd Alvarez and Chrissy Lampert—sustainability leaders, wellness practitioners, and co-founders of Rooted Renewal—to explore the intersection of sustainability, personal healing, purpose-driven work, and what it means to care for the people who are caring for the planet.
We talk about:
✨ Why so many people are drawn to sustainability and impact work—and the emotional weight that comes with caring deeply
✨ The connection between personal wellbeing and creating meaningful change in the world
✨ Burnout, transitions, and knowing when it’s time to step away from a path that no longer feels aligned
✨ The inspiration behind Rooted Renewal and creating spaces for sustainability professionals to reconnect, rest, and rebuild community
✨ How yoga, nervous system regulation, and yogic philosophy can help us navigate uncertainty, grief, and transformation
✨ Redefining impact beyond productivity, achievement, and external measures of success
One of my favorite takeaways from this conversation was the reminder that sustainable change requires sustainable humans. When we’re constantly pouring ourselves into causes we care about without taking time to reconnect with ourselves, we lose touch with the very purpose that brought us there in the first place.
Whether you work in sustainability, are navigating a season of transition, or simply feel called to create a more intentional and aligned life, I think you’ll find something meaningful in this conversation.
