Wayside Bible Chapel

Modern life has many pressing demands, some are from our culture, and some from our own expectations. These pressures can keep us from what is really necessary for our souls. The account of Martha and Mary is full of insights as to how we should best prioritize our time.

God’s will is being done here on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-13). God is on the move, He is doing miraculous activities globally and locally. He is accomplishing great things in nations and in individuals. His plans and outcomes are perfect in every way. God has never made an error and he promises to work out all things for good (Romans 8:28).

Do you obey God? Or do you go through the actions, serving him? What, even, is the difference? Join us as we dig into what the Word says and learn what the LORD desires for you.

Can we be good enough for God? Can we do enough good deeds? The Good Samaritan story is telling us more about Jesus than it is about doing good works. Don't miss the ending of this message!

We are each called to be laborers in God's field. We may have great successes but our only true reason for rejoicing is the fact that our names are written in heaven. What do you rejoice over?

Jesus' disciples follow Jesus to the cross. They put others first. They are gracious in the face of rejection. Their first priority is their relationship with Jesus. They don’t cave to the world’s expectations or worldly desires. They look forward in faith and refuse to look back. Are you willing to follow Jesus to the cross?
