If you forgot to change your bonus location after the last Wayfarer challenge you should be able to change it now.
A while back Niantic asked for Wayfarers to nominate basketball courts on K-12 grounds, and that entire experience was… a dumpster fire right from the get go.

The Wayfarer team is up to 1500 removed Wayspots in the Netherlands, so kudos to the Wayfarer team and everybody who’s involved in that thread on the forums who’s feeding them the Wayspots to remove or area’s to look at.

Finally, this relates back to the Netherlands thread. A user by the name of RandomCybrarian posted on Reddit that they had received a 30 day ban in Wayfarer AND Pokémon GO for what they called “Nominating in good faith”https://reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/s/E3JRWGZ0OuT

Some of these are mine, and some of these I got from either a tweet or a post I made in the Pokémon Professor Discord
I saw another example of “This” on the map, so all of “Those” are eligible

Poor AR Scans will result in your Wayspot being removed.

Niantic decides whether or not your nomination is approved.

The category list in Pokemon GO being a list of all eligible things

Gated areas are ineligible for prp/safe pedestrian access/inappropiate location

Points of Interest on the grounds of apartment buildings or townhouse complexes are Private Property..

Something has safe pedestrian access if I can access the Wayspot from across the street.

Niantic decides whether or not my approved nomination appears in my game

Sports fields and parks *need* signs to be eligible.

The review plugins don’t work on mobile

Wayfarer abuse can lead to my Niantic Game account being banned

Route stats are live for your created routes, my first route has been walked 1700 times!
Wayfarer was down for 4 hours, no indication as to why.
✅ TOPIC #1 - When do Waypoints show up in-game?
Pokemon Go: The POI map is typically updated once per day. We commonly call this “The sync”. Historically the cutoff time has been around noon or ~2 hours prior to the sync. All waypoint approved prior to the cutoff will become stops if eligible at 1:50pm, now this has been known to be delayed about 30-ish minutes from time to time.

Ingress now also uses a daily “sync” system versus the immediate addition to the game board when a nomination is approved. This sync typically occurs around 6:15pm and seems to be based on the UTC. What’s interesting, is the cutoff time for Ingress is like 12:02pm

Other Niantic games seem to follow a similar pattern to PoGo with their own cutoff times.

There have been reports that the “Coal bots” are rejecting nominations very quickly, so be mindful when you’re making nominations and either go in and edit them or put them on hold asap. I don’t think it’s rejecting them before the “hold” releases, but if you’re used to not getting resolutions for weeks or months you might not think to edit them right away.
We mentioned it last week, but I wanted to mention it again. The Wayfarer team has removed 1000 Wayspots from the Netherlands for abuse

Big shout out to everyone we met during our weekend in NYC.

Meeting with Niantic
We talked about how it takes nominations to come to resolution much quicker in some areas than it does others which they said was something that’s on their radar, but not something they’ll be able to get to soon.
Abuse We talked about abuse, and they really appreciated that we talked about it how we did. It’s very important to them that they get control of the abuse now before it gets worse, and I think they’re doing an amazing job.
We also got to see a mock up of the new reviewing UI, and let me tell you it’s amazing.
