Girls Rugby! The Girls Rugby season gets underway in March. There will be an important information meeting this Thursday at the start of lunch in Portable #1... for New AND returning players. You do not need to have experience with this sport to come out for this team. If you are interested in learning more about this team but cannot attend the meeting, please speak to Mrs. Gowing or Ms. Sawatsky.

Congratulations to Keon W. for winning Viking of the week! Keon is a great student and a good athlete as he played on our wci volleyball team and is now on the ski team. He always has a smile on his face and is always ready to lend a hand. Once again congratulation Keon!

I am happy to announce this week’s Viking of the Week: congratulations to Tony R.! Tony is an extremely thoughtful and hard-working student. He helps his peers in class and participates in lots of WCI’s activities. Tony always has a positive attitude and is an all-round kind spirit! Once again, congratulations Tony!

Congratulations to this week's athletes of the week Dahir A. and Kristina G.

Dahir is a grade 10 student on the Jr. Boys Basketball team and is a very valuable player that lead the team to some great wins last week. Kristina is a grade 9 student on the Jr. Girls Volleyball team. She is a really consistent hitter who always dives for the ball, never letting it touch the ground and is a very valuable rookie player. Great job Dahir and Kristina.

Congratulations to Ms. Campbell's homeroom for donating the most to Holidays are for Helping! Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this holiday season better for our community.

Anime club will be having a winter break celebration TODAY. Come down to room 221 after school to play a kahoot and watch anime. We’ll be watching Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Make sure to not miss out!

We will be having a short introductory meeting and then you are free to play some chess. In the new year we plan on running lessons and tournaments so if this sounds fun you should come.
