A tactical disaster class from Julen Lopetegui against Chelsea saw West Ham embarrassed 3-0.

Will and James have contrasting views on our new gaffer. Are there signs of progress or is it already turning stale after just five league games.

The boys discuss our calamitous defending and our worst new signing. Plus, there is a guest appearance from ex-Premier League ref Mark Halsey after that controversial decision not to hand West Ham a penalty.

And if that was not enough, we preview the Liverpool game with writer Henry Jackson.

Thank you super Danny Ings. Who thought we would be saying that?

Will and James chat about the underwhelming performance from West Ham against Fulham - despite a respectable point in the end.

The lads share their thoughts on Julen Lopetegui’s style so far. Are there reasons to believe it’s close to clicking or do the Hammers remain poor defensively and dull given the talent going forward?

The boys are back to discuss the 3-1 defeat to Man City. A positive performance, it’s just a shame they have a goal machine robot up front!

We also talk about the controversial seeded Carabao Cup draw and there’s a passionate rant about the state of modern day money-hungry football.

Manchester City superfan and radio host David Mooney joins the show this week to preview West Ham’s clash against the champions.

Julen Lopetegui is on a roll, guiding the Hammers to two wins in the last two along with back-to-back clean sheets. However, it doesn’t get much tougher than facing City while Erling Haaland is on fire.

Julen Lopetegui has his first win as West Ham manager.

New signings caught the eye, Jarrod Bowen got his first goal with the captain's armband on and West Ham got their first clean sheet since January - against a London rival who James has a particular dislike for.

Despite the win being the first in a new era for the club, it was one of the old guard in Tomas Soucek that put in a huge performance in midfield and was again on the scoresheet (even rescuing a ball boy for bonus brownie points). Is about time our criminally underrated Czech Mate gets the credit he deserves?

And how long does Konstantinos Mavropanos and Michail Antonio remain in the starting XI amid new boys Jean-Clair Todibo and Niclas Fullkrug pushing for starts?

Friend of the show and big Crystal Palace fan, Max, joins us this week to help preview the trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Our last trip to south London was a complete nightmare after losing 5-2 to the Eagles and Julen Lopetegui will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that as he searches for his first win as West Ham boss.

A new era has begun. In defeat.

The 2-1 loss to Aston Villa last weekend was a frustrating one and, as seems to be the case with most things these days, completely split the fanbase. One half saw positives in the performance and signs that Julen Lopetegui's philosophy will eventually come good, while the other half felt like is much of the same as we saw under David Moyes and have already started comparing everything.

Yep, you guessed it, it's the exact same thing on this podcast. James is upbeat and says he saw enough in the performance to be confident of eventual success. Will didn't see any of that and is still questioning the decision to part ways with David Moyes.

So that debate and discussion understandably takes up the majority of this week's podcast, while the lads also discuss the ticket concessions again in more detail and then look ahead to Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.

Oh, and James gives the new signings his rating out of 10 after five of the eight new faces made their debuts. Will disagreed with almost all of them. Obviously.
