  • Candy & Crystal: Travel Pockets - Sisters Traveling the World in Style
We Get to Know the creative and talented sister duo Candy and Crystal from the Travel Pockets blog.
We really connected with their travel style and aesthetic. I trust their travel recommendations and loved chatting with them on how they make their travel and blog work. We are fans of their Incredible and creative videos in their post too.
We had so much fun getting to know Candy and Crystal: the sisters and creators of the blog, thetravelpockets.com. They grew up in a military family and spent the first half of their lives in Japan. These sisters have a close relationship and are both completely in love with travel. They have always enjoyed documenting their trips so it’s no surprise their blog has organically become a way of sharing their experiences with the world. Candy and Crystal are particularly great at finding unique travel locations and offering plenty of tips and guidance on itineraries, secret must-see places, where to eat, and fashion advice on how to pack. They enhance your planning experience with professional photos and videos that will inspire your next adventure. On their site, you’ll find tons of useful information on visiting their hometown of Japan and don’t miss their epic posts on Iceland. Listen in and hear all about their lives, sisterhood, and how they’ve become travel influencers.

  • Peyton Galt: Choosing Balance - Health Food, Blogger, Fitness
We Get to Know health food blogger and lover Peyton Galt from Choosing Balance.
We loved chatting with Peyton, the girl behind the popular Instagram and food blog choosingbalance.com. She is 22 years old from a small town in Missouri and started her Instagram account almost 2 years ago while in college. She was looking for a way to connect with others who were also health conscious and striving for a more balanced relationship with food. Through her account, she strives to show others that eating healthy doesn't have to be complicated, restrictive, or expensive. Living in a small town forced her to get creative in the kitchen, making healthy meals without always having access to fancy healthy products.
Peyton is full of positivity and authenticity. In this episode, she shares how and why she began her blog and instagram account (@choosing_balance) which is now an amazing success, her love of running, and some of her personal tips for dealing with grief and hardships. Listen in, you’ll love getting to know Pey.

  • Christina Lane: Dessert for Two - Cookbook Author, Small Batch Cooking
We Get to Know small batch baker, cook and author Christina Lane from Dessert for Two.
We were thrilled to chat with Christina, the girl boss behind dessertfortwo.com. Christina was born and raised in Texas but spent her 20's in California. Shortly after her move to sunny California, she became nostalgic for her mom’s home cooked meals. She began recreating them in small batches for herself and blogging about it on the side. Thus began her journey as a small batch baker and cook. We love the idea of cooking a batch of 6 cookies instead of 24 with a bunch leftovers and turns out so do a lot of other people. In addition to her popular blog packed with delicious recipes, Christina has published 3 successful cookbooks, has been a guest on The TODAY Show and featured on QVC. She dreams of sharing her knowledge on the Food Network one day.
In this episode we talk about how she tackles her busy schedule while maintaining a healthy family balance - which is usually not the case when you run your own business. She talks us through the creation of her cookbooks (she was wisely proactive) and offers some practical life advice that we will be taking lessons from. Listen in and Get to Know Christina.

It was a pleasure speaking with Viola, the woman behind The Sunshine Eatery. Born and raised in Germany and fluent in 3 languages (German, Mandarin, and English), Viola specializes in plant-based recipes and has developed a loyal following on Instagram and Youtube. She started The Sunshine Eatery in early 2015 from a deep interest in nutrition and photography. Her videos may just be some of our absolute favorites. The sounds, light and music all set the tone to watch a great recipe come together on the plate. Viola deeply enjoys the creative process behind recipe creation and shooting beautiful images of food that will nourish the body. Her greatest joy comes from sharing her creations with friends & family, both online and in real life.

  • Bjork Ostrom: Food Blogger Pro - Pinch of Yum, WP Tasty and Nutrifox
We Get to Know business developer and creator Bjork Ostrom from Food Blogger Pro & Pinch of Yum.
We were absolutely honored to chat with the ever inspiring Bjork. He requires little introduction in the food blogging world. Bjork is the founder of foodbloggerpro.com – a membership website that teaches food bloggers how to start, grow, and monetize their blogs. After helping his wife Lindsay get started with her food blog, pinchofyum.com, in 2010, Bjork started to wonder: is it possible to make a living from this blog? In 2011, he began publicly sharing the traffic and income that he and his wife Lindsay were generating from their blog, Pinch of Yum, in monthly income reports as a way to document their progress and share their findings with other food bloggers. These income reports have been a unique resource for many bloggers across all niches as they have ultimately documented how the couple took their site from a $20/month hobby to a 6-figure business. Today, Bjork continues to run Food Blogger Pro while also developing two new software tools, WP Tasty and Nutrifox
Bjork is a talented educator at heart with a passion to uplift and help others. In this interview, he talks candidly about the ups and downs of growing their successful business, how deep purpose and intent outweigh growth and financial gain, his favorite book and meal and what it’s like being a new dad to 3-month old Solvi. We loved this interview, gained personally from his perspective, and hope you will too.
