Today the stars and moons and planets aligned for, “one of the most funs” we have ever have WGTHO Podcast. We had the honor of hosting CJ Williams of L39ION of Los Angeles. Cj is not only a stout athlete on one of the best cycling teams in the US but he is also the man that keeps this ship afloat by handling a bulk of the operations and wrenching for L39ION. There were many many many laughs had so there’s no point in holding you up on this copy. Just have a listen and enjoy!
Ciaran O’Grady is a World Tour trainer and personal cycling coach who recently just completed his Ph.D! He is also the fiance of our wonderful host, Freya. This episode was recorded right after Paris Roubaix Femmes so we recapped that along with discussing the inner workings of world tour training and the business side of bikes. We also, for some reason, discussed Linkin Park’s relevance in the music world???? Fortunately, from there we were able to get things back under control before it was too late. Enjoy!
In this special episode of We Got to Hang Out podcast, we sat down with Rahsaan Bahati along with Justin and Cory Williams who are protagonists from the book “Black Champions of Cycling”. This book, written by author, Dr. Marlon Moncrieffe, discusses the history of black cyclists pushing the boundaries of the sport. This episode was our first podcast recorded live from the Rapha LA clubhouse in front of an RCC members-only audience. It was an honor to sit and have a real talk with living legends.
How much do you think it costs to fill up one of the world’s biggest yachts? We’ll give you a hint: It’s a lot of money! These are some of the things, amongst others, that cyclist, artist and bike painter Lucas Strain sat down to chat with us about. We’ve been wanting to share our conversation with Lucas for a while now. He has an amazing story and tons of life experience. Enjoy the show!
Sami is a cyclist, visual storyteller and has a unique introduction to the cycling community. Today we spoke with her about bad tattoos, videography and Sami’s short film Finding Myself. It feels so good to be back with Season 6! Enjoy.
We are officially kicking off the new season with a quick chat and update on what we've been up to over the summer. Rocket is not only preparing for Badlands she is also preparing to become a permaculture farmer??? More on that. Cree is still riding his high from Chicago. In total, all is well within the WGTHO family and we are super excited to get rolling on the new season. Enjoy!
The original cast is back in ALL of its glory! Anna Grace, Barb and Kyle rejoined with the new hosts of WGTHO, Creedub and Rocket. This was the best and only way that we could celebrate such a huge milestone in WGTHO's history. Enjoy!
Derek Teel is a cyclist and founder of Dialed Health, a health and fitness program. Derek has clients all over the world and focuses on coaching his clients into creating better habits that in turn promote a better lifestyle. Derek is also an accomplished downhill and enduro MTB racer which we discussed at length. It was great to have Derek share his expertise and share our similar disregard for boba… but to each their own. Enjoy.
Rocket is a cyclist, social media and brand marketer originally from the UK and now living in Girona, Spain. On her second appearance with WGTHO we caught up, had laughs and made a very special announcement that we both are very excited about.
Payson McElveen is a podcaster, cyclist, gravel crusher and world traveler. After many moons of scheduling and chatting Payson and I were finally able to carve out some time to chat about the things going on in his life. His recent trip to Africa in the spring and how Payson plans to prepare himself for the reboot of the cycling season. Payson is one of the busiest people that I’ve had on the show so it was an honor to steal a little bit of his time to chat about all the things. Enjoy!
