To the surprise of many, the back out is seen as a victory by local lawmakers and housing activists which had a problem with the $3B in tax incentives that Amazon was going to receive. Finally, Panera Bread had a vision of conscious capitalism. A restaurant that used a pay-what-you-want model to help feed those that could not afford to pay full price.
