This Sunday will be the final Sunday of having Vasili Panagopoulos with us here at St. George. He was assigned to us for Youth Ministry 2 years ago and he stayed to chant the Divine Services for us (when he didnt have to). We thank him and his family for being with us!
We also hear in this sermon about having the RIGHT role models in this life. Who are they?

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Demetrios the Great Martyr. In the sermon today, we focus on the Epistle Reading from the day we ask the question...

For the past few Sundays, we have heard the following:
Sept 7 Sunday before Holy Cross: "For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son..."

Sept 28: Had to do with obedience Click here for that Sermon
Today we hear something else, how we are to live, love and treat others...
At the beginning of this sermon a question was asked "How many of you have been afraid of something?"
Like us the Apostles were afraid too? What were they afraid of and how can we become strong like them?
Listen...

Having again been face to face with evil and terror from the events of the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the senseless acts of violence in the world, we may feel numb, grief-stricken, horrified, in pai or full of anger.
We must remember that when evil and hatred are shown, we have the greatest power a believer has against all the powers of the evil one, that being...
