Well, sadly, many Christians rarely actually read their Bibles. And if they do, they normally only read the New Testament, thinking it’s more important or at least easy to understand. But did you know the Old Testament is foundational to the New Testament? It provides the history we need to understand what happens in the New Testament.
You see, Jesus’ coming, dying on the Cross, and rising again is the grand culmination of Old Testament history and prophecy. Without this history you can’t understand why Jesus came to die and rise again.
So read God’s Word—all of it!
