As his fourth studio album Are You Haunted? prepares for release on February 18th, 2022, we were beyond thrilled to bring in front man Jake Webb for a full interview to discuss the record and so much more. If you’re somehow out of the loop on one of the most underrated bands in Indie Rock, Methyl Ethel is the project of solo extraordinaire, Jake Webb. Being released via Future Classic on 2/18/22, Are You Haunted? serves as his fourth record that is already shaping up to be an instant classic. The singles so far, including “Proof” feat. Stella Donnelly, have been nothing short of magnificent and our interview with the artist really expounded on the big things he’s been up to over the last couple of years.

Showing off his immense skills on “Hole For The Sun”, The JB Project is the musical endeavor of Justin Beaver who has overtly proved himself to be an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist, producer, and so much more. With the release of this newest song that is truly perplexing in the best way possible, it was such an honor to get to sit and speak with the mastermind behind the music. Fresh off the release of an incredibly heartfelt new single, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Heather Mall all about her newest single, “Dear Christopher”. Currently based out of Chicago, Heather Mall is an independent singer and songwriter who’s seamlessly infusing her personal experiences into imagery-filled music. With so much experience in music as a whole, she’s managed to create a focused world with a meaningful message on her newest song “Dear Christopher” that we instantly fell in love with. Getting to speak with her all about the background was definitely the cherry on top as well.

All set for its official release on January 28th, 2022, we got the opportunity to sit and speak with Kristina Menissov all about her astonishing new single, “Crown”! Proving she can do it all in addition to her acting and modeling, Kristina Menissov is also an impeccably talented musician who’s prepping for a genre expansive single called “Crown”. Blending in her Kazakhstani and Ethiopian background into the mix, the song is Middle Eastern-inspired in both its sound and style. Getting to speak with Kristina about the song was easily the highlight of our day and we truly can’t wait for everyone out there to get listening.

Delivering easily the heaviest song we’ve reviewed so far this year, we got the special opportunity to speak with the entirety of Cyadine about their newest single, “Hatespiration”! Made up of Eddie (guitar) and Bennie (drums) Knappenberger, Noah Polston (guitar), Shane Uhl (bass) and Aaron Gilbert (vocals), Cyadide are a metal band based out of Fraser, Michigan. Keeping things ultimately classic on the metal end, but never ceasing to infuse a glimpse into the future of the genre, everything about their latest track “Hatespiration” is pure energy. Getting to speak with everyone was just the cherry on top to this song release.

Breathtaking from start to finish, Galaxy Shores’ debut EP is finally out and we got the opportunity to sit and speak with the mastermind behind the music. Josh Herren, who is much better known for his project Galaxy Shores, has just shared a mind bending self-titled EP that we’ve very quickly fallen in love with. Having reviewed his music leading up to this big release, it was a complete honor to get to pick his brain about the in’s and out’s of this perplexing and forward-thinking record. Of course we’re going to recommend heavily that you give it a spin, but definitely don’t miss out on a fantastic conversation either.

Starting his year off incredibly strong with a memorable and funky pop track, we got the lovely opportunity to speak with Jamie Alimorad all about his single, “Give A Little Lovin’”. Filled with groovy synthesizers and intoxicating lyricism, this new single from Jamie Alimorad called “Give A Little Lovin’” is exactly the type of optimism we were looking for. In fact, it’s actually a collaboration between him and lyricist/composer/producer, Ross Vannelli. Together, they’ve infused retro pop elements to create something that’s super danceable and re-playable. Obviously we’re giving it our seal of approval!

All set for release this coming April 14th, we got the special opportunity to speak with Chris Crillz ahead of his release of his debut EP, Naw Fo Real. Currently based out of North Carolina, everyone out there is about to get an earful of some greatness from a true up and comer, Chris Crillz. As his debut titled Naw Fo Real preps for release in April, it was only right that we brought him on for a full preview to let us in on the production, lyricism processes, and some special surprises as well. While we haven’t heard it just yet, we know for a fact it’s going to be something great.

Kicking off the New Year with an explosive new single called “Life of a Robot”, we got the extra special opportunity to sit and speak with the man behind the music, Coolmowee! Always striving to further his sound, all the while sticking to his 80’s inspired roots, the synthpop magic of Coolmowee is something we feel everyone needs to experience. From the mind of Maurice Edwards comes a brand new song that’s continuing to further his sound in the electronic space. It’s called “Life of a Robot” and it’s legitimately one of our favorite offerings from this artist so far.
