We Watch It!

It’s Shannon’s list again; this time, she checks off The Shining—a psychological horror film designed to make you feel uneasy, horrified, and happy. Shannon Mahaffey recounts her favorite scenes or scenes that made quite an impression, both the good and the bad. Together with the We Watch It Crew’s J.T. Hazzard and Cody Aaron Hanify, they also share some scoops on the behind-the-scenes action that can be expected of Stanley Kubrick, who intended for the film to be visually disturbing. While pegged as a horror movie by fans, Shannon, J.T, and Cody add a different take on it. If you haven’t seen it yet, this review will definitely pique your mind.

In this main review of the We Watch It podcast, JT gives us an update on how his family friend Steve went out of his way to check out 1917, which made Shannon very happy. Can’t decide what crime films to watch? The We Watch It crew, Shannon Mahaffey, J.T. Hazzard, and Cody Aaron Hanify, share their recommendation. And while J.T. agrees with Cody on The Manhunt, he could not agree with Shannon on The Staircase. J.T. recommends the Birds of Prey and gives a walkthrough on why he enjoyed it. Given how confusing the Birds of Prey is as a sequel to Suicide Squad because it lacks the backstory of (SPOILER ALERT!) how Joker and Harley Broke up, you can still enjoy it by isolating the movie from its prequel.
