We talk about how a limiting belief is that negative self talk that tells us that we can't do something because because of whatever reason.
Most people think that Real estate investing is about having the strategies down and yes thats important but the biggest part of Real Estate investing is getting your mindset right. Getting rid of negative emotions , creating empowering thoughts and getting rid of your limiting beliefs. In this episode Martin interviews Anne Hillyard a wife and a mother if two kids. Anne shares her story on how she and her husband became financially free in four years through real estate investing. She share her story of when she started in 2006 after accidentally running into the Rich Dad poor dad book and then fell in love with cash flow. It took Anne two years after she read the book looking for deals before she found one that was cash flowing. She shares how in 2006 houses were over priced and she was having a very hard time to find properties that cash flowed but because she had educated herself as to what a good deal should look like she didn't just buy because everyone else was buying. Anne talks about how she was able to manage her fear of her first deal and why she was able to conquer it. Anne also talks about the importance of having a mentor and how a mentor can really accelerate your learning curve and how she advises that every one that's starting out should have a mentor. In this episode Victor, Martin & Mark discuss where the opportunities are to flip properties in this super hot market in October of 2020.  Victor talks about how having clarity in your strategy will allow you to win regardless of what is going on in the market.  There currently is a lot of scarcity mindset in the market right now due to the lack of inventory. This allows for sellers to get top dollars for their houses. The challenge is that as an investor its a bit harder to find deals and when you do find a deal we pay more for the property. They also talk about the government involvement in real estate and how the federal reserves is contributing to the current housing bubble. Mark shares what he's doing to position himself for a correction and what you should be doing to get better prepared. They also discuss the looming eviction crisis and the potential foreclosure crisis.

He share why having clarity on your numbers and your goals as an investor is so important. Often times a new Investor wants to buy just because everyone else is doing it. I will tell you from experience that is the incorrect thing to do. The first thing one must do is get very clear as to what you want as an investor and why you want it. Once you do this you have the power to make offers on deals that meet YOUR criteria not what the market is doing or what other think you should pay for a property. Of course this is within reason. This interview is great because we talk about the current HOT market and how many are over paying for Real Estate and how your power is determined on how well you know what you want as an investor. Clarity is power as an investor, get clear as to what you want to accomplish and why. Great episode!

In this episode Martin and Mark share their perspective as to whats happening in the Real Estate Market. We talk about the two main drivers of real estate investing and thats Unemployment and population growth. these are the two most important component when deciding what markets to invest in. When there are jobs in a city or market then people follow and that creates population growth. When you choose a market with a strong job and population growth you will always be in a good market. Mark and Martin discuss the unemployment trends in the country as unemployment went down to 7.9% down from 10.4% in August of 2020. We share the importance of knowing your investing strategy to make wise investments in any market. We found that a lot of people are buying real estate just because money is cheap and because everyone else is doing it those two reason alone will lead a person to make bad decisions. What we discuss and suggest in this episode is the importance of knowing why your investing and whats your clear strategy for investing. We share this and much more in this episode.
