The hot dog scene in Zach Cregger's film "WEAPONS" is a tribute to his late friend and former colleague, Trevor Moore, from their sketch comedy series "The Whitest Kids U' Know".[1] In a season three sketch called "Hot Dog Timmy," Moore's character plays a doctor who reveals to a patient named Timmy that he consumes seven hot dogs a day.[1] Cregger confirmed that this scene is a direct homage to Moore, who tragically died in August 2021.[1] The entire film, which premiered on August 7, is dedicated to Moore's memory and is inspired by his life and legacy.
