Dave Merheje is a comedian and actor.

You may know him as Ahmed from Ramy but I know him as Ahmed from Ramy.

…and that’s what came to me when I looked at him, wondering why is someone wearing a Virgil Normal T-Shirt at Pete’s Comedy Store and why does he have such a familiar face?

Went to the bathroom and when I came out it instantly came to me. RAMY. Sometimes your memories and best ideas do come to you when you wash your hands. 

Dave was doing a set for Funhouse Comedy and killed it with the bit.

Dave’s comedy album Good Friend Bad Grammar won the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year at the 2019 Juno Awards and out now is his new special, I Love You Habibi

I’ve known Sylo when I used to live in Philly and I used to go all of the parties he’s thrown all over the city.

Catching him at Silk City, to The Saint, to The Dolphin. These are all amazing fine establishments in the good ole city of Philadelphia.

Gutes Guterman co-founded The Drunken Canal, a newspaper that covered the downtown scene of NYC and is a co-founder of Byline, a web publication creating a universe of content.

Wear Many Hats has taken out an ad from the very infamous newspaper, The Drunken Canal, in which was a print-only publication that landed major press placements and which she says caused hullabaloo everywhere.

It really did. We’re still talking about it. They even have a Wikipedia page.

Byline is already making icon status. Will wear many hats hit the online stands soon? Only time will tell.

Brandon Dent is a vintage seller, independent clothing designer and barista from Georgia.

I met Brandon at Colbo working their coffee program but I knew there was something more. Brandon had a vintage pop up in the gallery space of Colbo for his vintage company, Big Iron vintage along with his friend Adam from Condemned Clothing. Brandon was also selling cut & sew pieces that he bespoke at home called Grant.

I tried on a few pieces and they were a perfect fit. I’m not one for color since it’s outside of my comfort zone but in another life it would have been mine.

Brandon makes a great coffee, we always have a good conversation, and he doesn’t live too far from me in Brooklyn.

Been making a lot of new friends from Georgia. It’s the only state I’ve been into as of late so keep the transplants coming.

Drew Stevens is the founder of Margin, a skincare brand that caught my attention from all my favorite cultural people that work in the ever so loving world of design and fashion.

Drew with designer Sam Jayne has led Margin to create beautiful packaging that catches my eye from start to finish. Starting with the box that holds the product, they feature it as a canvas, so far showcases beautiful artworks by Pat O’Rourke and Ed Davis. I first found out about Speedy through coming through my friend’s place and asking her what are you watching? I sit in the middle of an inspiring episode 3 of Queer Eye season 7 featuring Speedy. After learning about his story I was moved and thought I hope Speedy will thrive in whatever he does and I hope he’s happy :)

Sarah Catlow is a culinary food artist and model.

I first knew about Sarah when she modeled for Paa, Stoffa, and Saturdays NYC but I slept on going to her pop-up dinners as Gut Flora, a menu she creates that is inspired by her deeply nostalgic dishes from her childhood in Seoul and some of her mother’s traditional recipes.

I went to see for myself at Gut Flora by 99 popup at Nightmoves and it was a hit. The kimbap goes. Friends stuffing their smiling faces enjoying her food in every corner of the room.
