  • Sober Curious: re-evaluating drinking in mountain culture

Post-mountain biking tail gate beers, apres-ski at the bar, and fireside spirits at camp, are all ingrained in our mountain culture. It’s part of the reward for our physical feats - a drink well earned for our efforts. But while we may feel like we’ve earned it, is it actually the reward we think it is? How is this habit impacting our lives? What is this whole sober-curious thing anyway?

Join us as we discuss the idea of re-evaluating our drinking, taking a dive into how alcohol affects our brains and bodies, and surprising ways making a change can effect our lives.

With alcohol so strongly linked to our activities in the mountains (and in life), sometimes it’s a matter of taking a step back and looking at it all in a new way.

In true Weatherproof fashion, it’s not about judgement, or a certain way of doing things, it’s simply about having the information and living an intentional life.
