What happened next was bizarre and cruel. The crowd made these six persons to walk five kilometers through the streets which were lined with people who would beat on them with fists, feet, and sticks.

On the pretext of giving them rest, the mob forced these six martyrs to drink decomposing urine, and to re-enter the town.
