When was the last time you actually read your client contract from beginning to end? If it's been a few years, there's a good chance it no longer reflects how your business operates today.
In this episode, I share why I recently overhauled my own 12-page client agreement after more than 20 years in business. We talk about updating your contract for AI, accessibility, changing services, payment terms, project boundaries, and the lessons you've learned from past client projects.
Your contract isn't just there to protect you legally. It sets expectations, defines your process, and helps clients understand exactly how you work. Taking time to review it each year can prevent misunderstandings and make your projects run much more smoothly.
One of the resources I recommend is Monster Contracts. Their templates include current language around AI, accessibility, privacy, and other issues web designers should consider.
