A seed conservation group is keeping crops historically farmed in the Southwest alive. And in persistent drought, their arid-adapted strains have never been more popular. Plus, a public memorial and reflection took place last month in Colorado to explore the truth of Boulder’s role in The Sand Creek Massacre. The event came days after the announcement of a significant expansion of the national historic site in southeastern Colorado.
