The 5th Annual Calling All Veterans Day is coming to the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park, home of the most unique logo and location marker, a battle-ready bee! This annual community outdoor event (August 17th,10am-2pm) is an "opportunity to receive free information on resources and benefits for Veterans of all eras, their spouses, or their aging loved ones.  Benefit providers as well as organizations that provide fun activities that promote a sense of connection and holistic health will be onsite. The event is free and open to Veterans of all eras, their family and the community". RI Senators Reed and Whitehouse along with RI Congressmen Magaziner and Amo will be in attendance to offer remarks and support in addition to other dignitaries. Listen as Deb answers the question "what is an ombudsman?". She also discusses "the forgotten middle", those veterans on the threshold of income, either too high to qualify for state and federally provided services or inadequate to retain those much needed services on their own. In addition to helping veterans, RI Elder Info also provides seniors, caregivers and professionals with a resource to guide them through the aging process.
