For the first time since the Weekly Boost's inception, we have "in-studio" guests. We welcome Drew Slade and Josh Oswald to the show. Drew is currently a Sales Representative for a steel distributor and another Ripon College alum. He also coaches high school football and baseball. Josh is a graduate student and Security Operations Associate for a financial group and has also dabbled in coaching. We reminisce, talk football, and discuss some deep Would You Rather questions. This week, we have a marathon for you guys. We welcome Patrick Van Daalwyk to the pod, an English teacher and basketball coach at a high school in Wisconsin. He is an alumnus of Ripon College where he played baseball as well as coaching following graduation. A very cerebral coach (like we talk about), he introduced us to some useful tools that can relate to life as well as sports. Most of the first half relates the complexities of life to the baseball diamond, but after all the jargon and reminiscing, there's a lot of quality content. This week, we welcome Jon Kilmer to the pod. Kilmer is a music and video producer working with a variety of artists including mike (formerly Mike Stud), 44 phantom, Huey Mack, among others. He has produced a feature film that released in 2018 and is currently working on his latest film. He co-hosts the "YNK: you know what I mean?" podcast with mike and it features a wide variety of guests in the music, sports, entertainment, and other industries. Kilmer fills us in on his projects, life advice, and dealing with negativity. After the interview, Austin and Ben recap the week and talk a bit about the Padres' phenom.
