The bible is still a very popular book. It is generally revered and respected. Most households own a copy. But it remains unread.... sort of like a family, or cultural heirloom. That might even be the case with you.

7 Steps To Remember:

1. Plan Time For Regular Study

2. Let The Bible Interpret Itself

3. Study Topics - Dig Deeper

4. Use Study Aids: Concordance, Lexicons etc

5. Read the Whole Bible: Use a bible Reading Plan

6. Compare Different Bible Translations KJV, NIV, ESV

7. Seek Guidance From God's Church & Ministry

Once we have established the importance of actually reading the bible on a daily basis we also need to have some guidelines for how to interpret the bible and discover what God is saying to us.

The Great Tribulation, or Time of Jacobs Trouble is a detailed set of prophesied events that will take place immediately before the return of Christ. It serves as a warning to those who are perhaps not taking their calling seriously… a source of understanding and reassurance for those who are caught up in these end-time events.

Scripture is full of examples of praise and worship toward our Father and creator. We also have explicit instruction that we should offer praise and worship toward God. Praise and worship is an important feature of our walk with God.

God's spirit adds something to your life called Prautes. English words you could use to try to convey the meaning of Prautes might include: gentleness, acceptance, submission, humility, calm. However, none of these words conveys the full sense of the word.

Goodness is not understood [perceived] by what we don’t do. We cannot become more like God, or Christ, simply by eradicating sin.

Developing Godliness involves growing the traits and habits of GOODNESS. To have good things flowing out from you. The active spirit of the Father and Christ is there to help you!

Goodness is the understanding of what things are good and conversely... what things are evil. This understanding begins with the commandments of God.

The “kindness” referred to in Galatians 5:22 can be understood as: help, service, generosity, assistance, even words, rendered to another person not in accordance with what they deserve or have earned but as an active expression of mercy & grace...

A. showing outgoing concern for their well-being

B. Showing our own putting on of Godly character

For an explanation of how I arrived at this extended definition please watch the message.

Anxiety says… "it's all up to me". An anxious mind is concerned that they are simply not up to the task… that they will let everyone down, they will be weighed in the balances and found wanting etc.

To that, scripture says "nope, don't be so focused on yourself… don't be so sure that success or failure is all in your hands". Put Your confidence in God.

But how?

Finding joy in your life's journey is not the same as finding happiness, although the words are used in the same way.

Happiness depends on external events that are happening all around you. Joy is not dependent on anything except you.

Joy is a gift your creator wants to give you. Its a fruit or product of the holy spirit He is willing to put within you.

What can you do to find more joy?
