Caitanya-caritāmṛta Antya-līlā

Chapter 6 Text 13

pūrve śāntipure raghunātha yabe āilā

mahāprabhu kṛpā kari’ tāṅre śikhāilā

 

TRANSLATION

When Raghunātha dāsa, during his family life, went to meet Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu at Śāntipura, the Lord gave him worthy instructions by His causeless mercy.

Antya-khaṇḍa Chapter 3 Text 130

ei mata sārvabhauma śata śloka kari’

stuti kare caitanyera pāda-padma dhari’

 

TRANSLATION

In this way Sārvabhauma composed one hundred verses as he glorified Lord Caitanya while holding His lotus feet.

Antya-khaṇḍa Chapter 3 Text 122

parama subuddhi sārvabhauma mahāmati

śloka paḍi’ paḍi’ punaḥ punaḥ kare stuti

 

TRANSLATION

The supremely intelligent, broad-minded Sārvabhauma repeatedly offered obeisances and recited various verses.

Caitanya-caritāmṛta Antya-līlā

Chapter 6 Text 1

kṛpā-guṇair yaḥ kugṛhāndha-kūpād

uddhṛtya bhaṅgyā raghunātha-dāsam

nyasya svarūpe vidadhe ’ntar-aṅgaṁ

śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanyam amuṁ prapadye

 

TRANSLATION

With the ropes of His causeless mercy, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu employed a trick to deliver Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī from the blind well of contemptible family life. He made Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī one of His personal associates, placing him under the charge of Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī. I offer my obeisances unto Him.

Caitanya-bhāgavata

Antya-khaṇḍa Chapter 3 Text 115

prabhu mora śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya prāṇa-nātha

muñi adhmere prabhu kara dṛṣṭi-pāta

 

TRANSLATION

“O Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, my life and soul, please glance mercifully on this fallen soul!”

Antya-khaṇḍa Chapter 3 Text 95

īṣat hasiyā gauracandra prabhu kaya

yata vākhānilā tumi saba satya haya

 

TRANSLATION

Lord Gauracandra smiled and said, “Whatever you explained is certainly true.”

Caitanya-caritāmṛta Madhya-līlā

Chapter 13 Text 28

kṣaṇe sthira hañā rahe, ṭānileha nā cale

īśvara-icchāya cale, nā cale kāro bale

 

TRANSLATION

Sometimes the car would stand still and not move, even though it was pulled very vigorously. The chariot therefore moved by the will of the Lord, not by the strength of any ordinary person.

Caitanya-bhāgavata

Antya-khaṇḍa Chapter 3 Text 79

hena mate prabhu bhṛtya-saṅge kare khelā

ke bujhite pāre gaurasundarera līlā

 

TRANSLATION

In this way the Lord performs pastimes with His servants. Who can understand the pastimes of Gaurasundara?

yadi tiṅho nāhi jānāyena āpanāre

tabe kāra śakti āche jānite tāṅhāre

 

TRANSLATION

Who has the power to know the Lord if He does not reveal Himself?

Canto 10 Chapter 39 Texts 44-45

bhūyas tatrāpi so ’drākṣīt

stūyamānam ahīśvaram

siddha-cāraṇa-gandharvair

asurair nata-kandharaiḥ

sahasra-śirasaṁ devaṁ

sahasra-phaṇa-maulinam

nīlāmbaraṁ visa-śvetaṁ

śṛṅgaiḥ śvetam iva sthitam

 

TRANSLATION

There Akrūra now saw Ananta Śeṣa, the Lord of the serpents, receiving praise from Siddhas, Cāraṇas, Gandharvas and demons, who all had their heads bowed. The Personality of Godhead whom Akrūra saw had thousands of heads, thousands of hoods and thousands of helmets. His blue garment and His fair complexion, as white as the filaments of a lotus stem, made Him appear like white Kailāsa Mountain with its many peaks.
