It's a wonderful place, full of things. Wonderful things. Things you cannot even imagine.

This is another song where we requested an idea from someone, namely Treetender; a very fierce and ferocious creature. His prompt was "fantasy", so naturally the full orchestra comes out.

It's also the first one a lot of us worked on this week, each bringing a little something. We'll get used to this.

Well, this happened. This is not a fugue in the baroque sense.  I did take the 2-measure theme in an inversion right before the DC.  This is where I made each note go in the opposite direction. If the note went up a 3rd, in the inversion it went down a 3rd. Then I played the inversion simultaneous with the original.  I stopped myself before I did a retrograde treatment (playing the theme backwards.) No one needs that. 

The chords I played were trying to stay in E-Major, but they rather strained at the seams of that tonality.  I decided I liked this dissonance, because that was what I was feeling --a bit unraveled. Our world now is very edgy, for there will be a "shoe-drop." We have to wait and hope, that we can rewrite ourselves before it all falls apart.

You know how they say it should be hard but not a struggle? Well, this one was a struggle. I haven't felt so clogged up in a while.

I started by thinking up the lyrics, which I actually like (it's rare for me to like my own lyrics), then for some reason felt incredibly uninspired making the music itself. Started from a portishead vibe but it went muddy, fast.

As always, all comments are appreciated, constructive criticism included.
