Another minimal effort submission. Again, apologies. Been on the road for the weekend, pretty normal commute for an american but completely exhausting for a european. 2 thousand kilometers to drive my girl with a ton of stuff to her new temporary home in Groningen, Netherlands. The mecca of DNB will be the place of her studies.

Clobbbered up this break when my wife took over the wheel for around 2 hours around Bremen. No promises about giving WB some more time next week, because I'm terrible.

Another edit from the grads and dads jam from a few weeks back, where my Creatures Once bandmate (and longtime friend) and our sons (both high school grads this year) got together and jammed for the first time ever. Great experience! I did another edit from this session for my week 29 song.

This one was edit from our first jam of the day. It had it's rough parts but we came out with some energy. The grad on the drums brought some great energy, and he and the grad on the sax have some great interplay in this.

Thought about doing a heavy edit, and sampling from the session to make something new, maybe another time.

So this is a medium-light edit. I repeated some segments to make it sound like a song. Added extra track to double keys in places and move one of the electronic effects parts from late in jam up earlier. But I didn't add any new sound in the edit, or move much around, so what's here is us playin together and playing off each other in the moment still, just sounds much tighter and more like we're playing a song we know vs. just making stuff up and jamming. Editing this makes we want to jam again, and I hope we do!

This week I wanted everything to be different. i wanted a strong melody and time to work on an arrangement. Came up with the melody by singing it in tuesday I think, and then nothing happened until friday when I put it down on the M8, but didn't do much else. And then on the weekend the weather was just too nice to chip away at it for too long, so here's my repetitive little melody with some sound design I find enjoyable.

Life got super busy and something had to give.

Yesterday I looked at my M8 that has been sitting next to my bed, patiently waiting. I picked it up and got lost for a few hours and I'm so glad I did. I had a great time making this and I'm looking to have a solid streak from here on out!

Good to be back now that life has calmed down a little bit *fingers crossed*
