I had the MPC Sample since release and didnt really know if I should keep it, what to do with it, since I already have two other modern MPC´s. But this week I played around with it a lot, and the simplicity of the device is really nice.

So here is a tune I have made with the Sample. Tracked it out in Ableton and started messing with the sounds. Maybe too much. I resampled many things through some pedals, and noticed that I built up a good amount of noise every pass. Tried my best to tame it, but then just went with it.

it's comical how difficult things have been. I mean, I still have some things to be grateful for.. but god damn when it comes to friends and relationships.. just cooked honestly. I've in the past felt like I'm slowly transforming into a demon or something other than a human, by virtue of suffering. I just feel like more and more I can't trust anyone.. I can just trust that everyone will betray me on a long enough time line. People who I invest a lot into... spend a lot of time with. They never seem to care how they make me feel. This in turn makes me have a difficult time caring how I make other people feel. It just feels like this facade is over. I've felt this way before, but I don't know If I've felt it this deeply.

Me and my wife were talking the other day about how much we love Gospel music despite not being religious. I tried to write this one in a Gospel style as a secular worship of her rather than a God. Again a very unexpected shift when the Chorus ended up in B despite the verse being in G but we move! Comments always welcome!

So named because there's been so much chatter about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that a melody fell out of my head that is legally distinct from the Hyrule theme and because the synth instruments are all done with Vital.

Shout out to Yuli Yolo's 'Synthetic Quartet' patch for doing the heavy lifting there. The plucks and drone running in the background are me building my first "from scratch" synth patches and I'm really happy with how they work in the track, but holy moly Yuli's patch is gorgeous.

There are some piano and double bass samples going on, too, just so no-one's wondering which patch is creating that bassy pluck :)

Anyway, this one came together really quickly, it's Tuesday morning as I write this, and there's a lot of mix work I *could* do on it still, but to be honest I hit a point that I'm really, really, happy with and I don't want to over-cook it... I certainly don't want to risk me deciding to tinker with the structure and melodies any more.

The point is to be done for a certain value of done within a week and this one is done. Feels good, man.
