  • Week 25 - Michael Morrow - Because He Lives
He lives, the graves are shaking
He lives, the dead are waking
Hear the voice of Jesus say
    ‘Come to me and live’
He died, the curse is broken
He rose, the way is open
    Life is born, death overcome
    There’s a hope for us
    We live because he lives
    He lives
No grave could ever hold him
    He sets the captives free,
This life he won for me
    He lives, He lives
    He is the Resurrection
See what our God has done
‘We are alive ‘cause Jesus is alive!’
    He won, the battle’s over
The grave has lost its power
Guilt and shame, where are your chains?
    We have freedom now
    We live because he lives
    He lives…
Raise your voice up to the heavens
Sing for joy, let all creation
    Hear the sound
    Jesus has set us free
    Take a breath
    This is your new life
    Born again
Into a hope that never ends
    We live because he lives
    We live because he lives
    He lives…

  • Week 25 - laguna - Seann William Scott
Inspired by the fuzzy wish of just throwing some classic 60s drum break over some drum machines. I won't pretend this is a good 'big beat' tune, but suddenly the process felt just like I was in my early 20s again :)
As always, the mix is quite messy, and the track title... well, I suddenly remembered the vibes of "Stark Raving Mad" from 2002, a (forgotten?) movie where some thiefs plan a big heist during a big rave celebration.
Sorry for the lack of communication. My internet sucks here in the countryside and I must study for a test that I have next week, so almost no online interaction for me appart from work.
I wish you have a fantastic week, WB people.

i started by wanting to experiment with generative ai for midi. i wrote a melody and gave it to claude to create a counterpoint midi. i took its output and modified it and then starting building the song. i asked for a modification to the melody as well. used that for the second verse or something? everything else was me+samples+presets+modifications etc etc.

  • Week 25 - AiDeRen - Onegear
Written entirely on Dirtywave M8 Tracker
    Light mastering in Audacity (normalizing/limiting/compressing).
A continuation of last week's track's outro, which was the previous week's outro, which was the previous week's outro, which...
Nothing clever, could have done more to be less repetitive, a few variations here and there to the bass or chords.
You already know the drill: time (which I do not have plenty of) is of the essence.
A tune that would be nice to come back to and have some supplementary work done on.

    Thanks for listening!
