WipeOut techno will return next week. This week we're doing some weird, experimental ambient techno(?)? I don't know genres. So you tell me! I wanted to do some sound design for my  techno tracks...and then this track happened. Sometimes you just need to go where there the song wants to go. And this one didn't want to be straight up techno. Anyway, it was a fun track to make. I have no idea if it's any good, or not. So feel free to let me know what you think!

Feels like I'm creatively coastin' on fumes this week! Weird lofi jam with lots of clavinet. Stick around for the bonus clav jam at the end. :)

The lead that comes in at 0:30 is weirdly a 303. Finally got to use the 303 glide, but not all in the way I was expecting to use it before (read: not a techno bass slide lol).

I'm trying to get in the habit of hammering out some patches during the week, to save me some sound design time when sitting down to do tracks on the weekend.

far too long, but like usual gave myself like a coupla hours before to paint sketches out into arrangement view. mostly built around flanger/phaser extremes performed outta maschine then trimmed and edited. i had a coupla okay ebm-ish riffs that take too long to come around and then go nowhere, and they were using just a coupla ableton puremagnetik 'effects racks' pack that i bought and need to do a deeper dive into the 200 packs included. it's too harsh and more exploring than it is a real song, but ah well. so goes weeklybeats sometimes.

My boy (1mo) was asleep on Saturday and I had few hours of time to compose and this came out of from my half-aspleep mode. It reminded me from a NES game called Little Nemo's DreamMaster.

Yeah! This is full of good "air" (noise) Mwahaha! I worked on the verge of distortion on the master bus, let me know if you hear some, I'm working on my master chain / mastering, but it's really hard!

Quite happy with this one, started with a preset called ghost on tape, that sort of set the tone for the track.  Used lots of different tape emulators on the different tracks, would be nice to actually record to tape and get the "real" effect.  It's starting to get sunny and warm outside, hope everyone gets to enjoy the outdoors this week and maybe listen to some music outside.

Rushed this, surprised it's finished, busy weekend lol.

This one kind of feels like the third in a series, slaved prog from 3 weeks back, last weeks, and then this. Similar melodic approach I suppose,

But counts as done! No time for checks, just whacked out, and mastered on the Monday morning.
