I had nothing this week. Lots of somethings that had been started, but couldn't be finished yet. plenty of short snippets with nothing to complete them with. It wasn't until 9pm Saturday that this poured out.

This song comes from some strange, second hand emotions - I like it, but don't like how it got here.

Back in Open C this week, I have gone all in on the safari pedals plugins as well - I have even cut my Slate subscription, at least for now. Love the workflow, feel and simplicity of these plugins and I *think* if I dare so say myself, my mixes and tones are better? they are certainly different.

Hope you have a nice week - thanks to any listeners and commenters too - always lovely and constructive feedback.

Here are the lyrics:

Listen for the hush

The painful quiet

All the best of them Peter out

I hate the rush

The aimless crying

When all you want to do is scream and shout

It all ends

That's it

Theres no denying it

No clue

No use in trying it

And i maybe fooled

To believe that its true

But its not

It's not

Quiet nods

And seals of approval

Turning you back when the damage is done

Shut the door

Begin the removal

Of feelings that you help to succumb

It all ends

Theres no denying

No clue

No use in trying it

I may be fooled to believe that its true

But its not

Its not

Turn it off

The senseless emotion

It won't help when you try to sleep

Push it down

Remember to function

All the best of them peter out

My 12 year old relationship with my favorite person and best friend has ended. I'm suffering. Couldn't really finish this song... The thought of singing right now is just not.... there... hold your loved ones tight. Thanks for being such a supportive community, I feel really loved by everyone here. Sorry for the emotion dump...

Blew the dust off the A4. Elektron released a new firmware with some goodies like an euclidian sequencer and page looping (although I couldn't manage to get that actually work). Very dull track just to fricken make myself remember how at least some of this box works. It's a shame I let it gather dust. Sorry for the clicks. Will do better next time!

I'm in LA on a demanding shoot this week - lots of attention on making everyone else look and sound good.  No time to mix and I don't have any of my kit with me for post pro but lets get this uploaded. :)

All made on M8 just converted to MP3.

Ok, so I've no idea where I was heading with this... Totally drawing a blank, so decided on the age old 4 chord song used a million times before ( and far better 😂)

Went through M8's stock instruments & moulded them into a tune.... Is it great? Far from it, but it's something which has to be better than nothing right? 🩵
